Over the years I have played Ultima Onine, Dark Age of Camelot, WoW, Warhammer Online, WoW, Neverwinter, LOTRO, Guild Wars, and Star Wars the Old Republic. So far FFXIV has held my interest the longest.
I've been playing on and off since I originally got the game, and recently have been playing it like crazy for the past few months. Most of my time I have been soloing this game, but recently I joined an FC with a Discord, and that has greatly improved my experience. The game is phenomemnal if you want to play single player, but it is more fun to have a group to do things with. The music is wonderful, the storyline is not so great in ARR, but it greatly improved with Heavensward onwards. I really loved Shadowbringers. There is plenty of different activities to do (Story/sidequests, gathering/crafting, housing savage, raids, hunting, blue mage, leveling, roleplaying). The
My favorite thing about FFXIV is that you only need one character to play all the classes. I really like not having to hop onto another toon to see the different class stories and gameplay. In general I like most of the classes, I'm not a good tank, so those are not my favorite, but most people are pretty chill about it. The community is pretty nice, there are some trolls, but I haven't personally experienced any toxic behavior.

So yeah I'm still loving this game like a decade later. And i finally got a house during the last housing savage, so I'll be subbed for life now :D

2022 Update for the Steam Award Badge thing, it's still a great game, I'm excited for Endwalker. Also Discords for content like Eureka, Bozja, POTD, HoH are super useful and will help get through the content.

2023 Update; Endwalker was amazing, plenty of content added, no FanFest for me:(, excited fro Dawntrial when it comes out.
