Third chapter in the saga, covering a timespan of roughly 300 years (from the 16th to the 19th century).
The gameplay is the same as in the two previous titles: units gather resources to construct new buildings, research technologies and train more units.
The biggest difference is the experience value granted by every successful action, which allows to play cards from a deck, granting various perks. The building of said deck is a vital part of the strategy in the preparation of a match.

The biggest flaws are a certain artificial stupidity (enemies aren't effective on water maps) and the lack of actual historical campaigns: one above all the Napoleonic Wars.

That said, it's still a wonderful historical RTS, supported by a solid research. If you liked the first two, don't miss this.
