(Text below is About Me)
WARNING!! its a wall of text, but TLDR is:
i like games, improvements, and just try to have fun gaming :broforce:

A Player of Various Game Genres
I believe I play almost all types of games, ranging from strategy, tabletop, visual novels (VN), action role-playing games (ARPG), classic role-playing games (CRPG), tactical role-playing games (TRPG), action games, first-person shooters (FPS), and more. I enjoy experiencing new things, so even niche games are welcome if they pique my interest—especially if I like the art direction :HentaiGirlBetty_athlete:

That said, according to my Steam Replay 2024, my playtime skews heavily toward hero shooters, roguelikes, and survival games. I suppose that’s fair; after all, can’t waste those hours I’ve spent training in AimLab and Kovaak, right? 🎯

A competitive player
I used to hate pvp games, shooter, and even playing first person games because they makes me nauseous. But i guess people change—for better or worse. My journey started with "World of Tanks," where I still remember running around in the open like a clueless duckling, earning berating comments in chat :ThinkingBetrayal:

Somewhere along the way, something switched in me. Perhaps it was the drive to prove I was better than those critics. Perhaps it was the kindness of a few people I met in the community. Regardless, one thing I’ll never forget is my improvement :GoOver:

"World of Tanks" had a unique stats system, and watching my stats improve day by day, week by week, and month by month was incredibly rewarding. I began surpassing those jokers who had mocked me, then outperformed my friends who had been playing longer than I had, and was even tutoring me at first. Eventually, I joined the elusive “unicum” circle, leading clan wars and earning golds (premium currency) back in the day. It was a journey of growth, grit, and determination :dofsflame:

So, how does someone who used to get nauseous playing first-person games become an avid fan of first-person shooters? I blame "Overwatch." Oddly, it didn’t trigger my usual dizziness. A friend (shoutout to Dabu!) convinced me to buy it during a 50% off sale. He’s now happily married, raising his first child, and officially retired from "Overwatch," but my journey with FPS games had only just begun :edcompass:

Being a latecomer to the FPS genre, I struggled at first. Dabu’s friends mocked my aim, which stung but also fueled my determination to improve. Over time, it was bittersweet to surpass their ranks. On one hand, it was a testament to my effort; on the other hand, they cut ties from me, unable to cope with it

It taught me a valuable lesson :mp_star:

Today’s Perspective

These days, I still play PVP games regularly. I find joy in seeing progress, benchmarking my skills, and climbing ranks from the bottom upward. However, I’ve also learned to balance competitiveness with fun :FredericNote:

I’ve come to understand that not everyone shares the same drive to improve or invest in rigorous practice—and that’s okay. Likewise, I’ve accepted that I’m not the best player and don’t need to be. For me, having fun is more important now. The grind can become a chore, and standing at the top is lonely if it creates divisions with friends :abs_zzz:

One lesson I’ve taken to heart: If you have toxic friends who belittle your efforts or successes, it’s better to distance yourself from them. Surround yourself with people who encourage growth and positivity. After all, gaming should bring joy, not resentment :gilmanlove:

Some of my Achievements

• Climbed from sub 1 KDA, basically a bottom red stat player to unicum (top 5%) in world of tanks (pc and blitz), Super Unicum (top 1%) stat is still beyond me, beside when using some op niche tanks like leopard, autoloaders etc..
• Climbed to top 10 in division 2 conflict rank (asia), even got all the elusive pvp rewards etc..
• Climbed from the bottom bronze to plat in OG overwatch.. mostly as DPS, but the all role mechanic forced me to be a flex player to climb especially when soloqueue
• Climbed from bronze to gold in valorant.. somehow i didn't start at the bottom iron here, lol. but the slower pace and long time per match (13rounds) just didn't really hook me..
• Climbed from silver to diamond in overwatch2, well silver is just the first predicted placement, my time with ow1 gives me big advantage, and the end result placement was plat/diamond.. This kind of demotivates me, so i skipped some season away from OW2, playing valo and other games, returning only when then game comes to steam.. Now i'm a washed hardstuck plat lol. The good lining is it means that i can play with my lower rank friends uninhibited :Speech_Love:

Thank you for reading!
I'm trying to learn about writing these days, so i tinkered with this info box, hope my writing is easy to digest and adds a smile to your face—as it did to mine.
Have a nice day, and don't forget to have fun :Speech_Love:
