Sickest world war 2 sim out there. The atmosphere is amazing and the gameplay is both hard and punishing. Once you get it, you get it.

Also, getting a headshot doesn't get more satisfying.

tl;dr: This game is fun. This game is life. This game is love. And a little bit of rubber-band. 8/10 - will, be 10/10 once some minor fixes are implemented.

Do you want the battle royale type of game, then this is it. You can't compare it to any predecessor except for the actual game mode. The weapons have a good balance, the military grade loot fixed locations really does create another dimension to the tactical aspect of the game. Do you want to jump straight down and challenge up to 15-20 people for the scarce loot in a smaller city - or do you wanna fly far away, maybe grab a car and go to a remote location for your loot? This game offers it all.

The cars are not as illogical as in H1Z1, and this took a few games to get used to. I truly do love that end-game is not about driving a car in 150 km/h jumping out to 2-tap people. This goes for both solo, duo and squad. Mainly because if you jump out while your car is moving, you will take damage. Hell, you might even die because of it.

The weapons and attachments, this aspect can be kind of random. At times you'll find yourself with every attachment you might want - sometimes you simply won't. It's an even mix of rng and you actually planning if you'd find something of interest early of the rounds. The weapons are evenly balanced and with full attachments no gun really sticks out of the mix. In my opinion this is one of the best aspects of the game. If I had to compare the weapons to any other title, I'd say Arma.

The only negative thing I have to say during this review would be the rubber-band lag that has been occuring on the servers for quite a bit since launch. I still play through the rounds, every time, that's how fun this game is. The developers are currently working their asses off to polish this game and I'm sure it won't be long until they've sorted all the issues.

This game! I love it. Arena-based combat, no items, no level up skills, just you and a friend (or two) versus other people in combat. One missed ability can mean defeat. I recommend anyone to get this game. Played from the alpha and my first session lasted for two hours solo. Would've died at the computer if my friends weren't so f***ing poor.

10/10 get this game, you won't regret it.

I'm actually thinking of getting the DLC just because I want to support this awesome game. It reminds me of BLC but it is a much better game in a lot of ways. Everything from the actual game speed, to the feeling while playing, is top notch.

Summary:
[+] This game is a wonderful one. It's fun, has a lot of small things to take into account and a great variation depending on which team you play. The small things matter which is always lovely in a strategy based game. Many maps and a hell of a war-feeling to it.

[-] However, the current state of the Matchmaking system, is seriously broken and will put you up against people with 10-20 times the in-game hours you've got.

Verdict: Don't buy this game unless you're prepared to spend numerous (hundreds) hours playing against bots. Because the MM will show you just how bad you are at the game and you won't get a chance to turn the games around or understand what you did wrong, because the good players are so beyond your level of play that you'll be a bleeding kitten swimming in a pool of hungry piranhas.

------------------------------------------------------------------

At the moment I've invested 31 hours into this game. I played CoH back in the day and had a lot of hours and know the game mechanics fairly well. When me and a friend (40 hours played) search for matches, we get matched with people who've prestiged one, two and sometimes even three times.

How can they claim the MM-system is a working one?
I have yet to have a game with people at the same skill level as me. At the same time they claim that the MM-system actually is fair and should match you against players at the same level as yourself.
How come it doesn't then?

I see a lot of posts on the internet regarding this, some people (good at the game, many hours) defend this, because if they get matched with a good player(s) they will have a chance because of their skill level. Many people (mostly not so good, few hours) are complaining they simply can't use MM at all because of the uneven matchmaking that currently rules the games.

I will lose interest in this game way before I reach that level. It's simply to challenging and not fun to be matched up against players with 700+ hours. At the same time it's not realistic that a game forces you to play 200 hours against bots before you can even try to make a difference in 2v2, 3v3, 4v4.

The 1v1 is pretty much 50/50. Sometimes you get a player closer to your skill level, sometimes you get one with a hell of a lot more time invested than yourself.

I'm sick of this and I have yet to find a post from developers that take this criticism seriously, no matter how constructive it might be.

I'm sad to give this a bad review as I love the game, the feel and everything around it. The MM-system is what's broken and has to be fixed. I rather stay in a queue for 25-30 minutes than get matched after 5-10 against opponents who will stomp with ease.
