RS2: Vietnam is a satisfying (moreso when you win) shooter to play and I would have to say the most authentic Vietnam war game released yet. The Bad Company 2 Vietnam DLC gives it a run for its money, but that was much more "arcadey". If you are still on the fence about buying this in 2018, I would honestly suggest ignoring the recent negative reviews. Despite all of the lame excuses for why people were not able to enjoy the game, ultimately they will mostly have been written by new players that didn't play RO2 or RS1 and didn't have the patience or attention span to get over the learning curve. If you want a challenging multiplayer game that you can keep coming back to with no lootbox or login reward B.S. making you feel like you're missing out when you take a break for a few days or a week, then you're in the right place.

The developers are still hard at work on this game over a year after release, adding the much anticipated campaign mode in late 2018. I feel like they still have some work to do with map balancing depending on which team is attacking or defending, but Tripwire has been good about listening to community feedback thus far.

Personally, my performance has improved on most maps since late beta/early release without getting any new hardware. Hue City is one that comes to mind which was almost unplayable originally but I see reliably smooth rates now and no stutters. The only time it might be an exception for frame drops only is during artillery strikes but I would concede that may be due to the age of my GPU. I don't have extremely high expectations of my hardware that is just over 4 years old, which could be the issue for some people.

this game has a bad engine.
and why not talk about the details: the worst browser server I've ever seen, for those who play in 4:3 resolution, forces me to change the size of the columns every time because I can not read the ping and does not hold the save.
it's a game made by amateur programmers. this is the reality, it's a unreal2 mod.
you should not pay for a product like that.

You should probably add some cons to this. Such as the horrible random stutters and fps drops that happen regularly. I love the game to but It deserves some criticism considering its been a problem since release. The devs really need to put some more effort into fixing problems instead of making free content
