Early Access Review
Hello Survivalists all over the world!

This is my review to Savage Lands.

The developers said you get:

"Open-World Fantasy. Traverse a uniquely ominous fantasy world scattered with the remains of a lost culture. Brutal Combat. Defend yourself against an intimidating array of hostile creatures from towering giants to rabid wolves. Manage your equipment and plan your attacks wisely, or the next fight may be your last. Crafting. Create a vast arsenal of unique items, powerful armor, devastating weapons, and much more. Intuitive Build System. Construct shelters, useful items, and entire villages to improve your chances of survival in the Savage Lands. Multiplayer. Join a server to battle other Savages for resources and supremacy, or forge alliances to build a thriving village and tame the land. Carry your hard-won inventory between servers to play easily with friends. Resource gathering. Harvest natural resources, hunt the island’s fauna, and loot the remains of fallen foes to build, craft, and prosper in the unforgiving wilderness.
Character Customization. Stand out from the crowd with versatile character creation and unique armor. Band Together. Form alliances with fellow savages and end Kur’s reign over the land."

...errmm...

Whooot???!!!

Dear fellows here the truth:

a) The World of Savage Lands ends on an Island. Compare to other "open world" games, it took me roughly 20 Minutes to run from one end to the other on this island. If you feel the increased desire to run around the island, it will cost you around 2 hours of your life.

b) Brutal combat without blood, cutting limbs or heads. Far away from brutality. This game is for kids, age +6 or +7

c) Well, somewhere are hostile creatures. Roughly counted I saw max. three or four different species, devs produced twentytwo. Well, I didnt found them so far. Sorry my fault. These creatures are listlessly animated and lousy opponents. They hide well. Why?

d) Multiplayer. Well. When you find 3 players online on a good day than you have multiplayer with 3 players. This is certainly not a mistake of the developers, but indirectly already, because if they had transferred more passion and time into this game, then this game would play more people.

The game certainly includes the usual features of a survival game, but unfortunately everything feels unfinished and without passion.

A lack of sound, a lack of creatures in behavior, count and design, a lack of environment design, a lack of animations. Well, these circumstances allow a good overall performance.

If you are wealthy game collector, go for it. All others should be carefully watch vids on gameschannels, rather to spend hard earned cash in this game.

Take care guys,

Survivalsteve.

Alpha, beta, ceta, hepta. Whatever. It was for me and a couple of friends possible.

The huge map that I am talking about is not the three islands that you get when you first play the game. The map that I am talking about is a separate beta where all of the creatures are on one island. There is absolutely no possible way that you could get all across the map within the span of twenty minutes.

...and your grammar is better? lawls.

Many creatures, laws again...

Facts: 22 hostile creatures, 6 of them unique, two of them rare, so more or less 14 upto 16 are on your "huge map" which i could run from one end to the other in 20 minutes.

108 creatures in ARK, more than 60 creatures in Dont starve, roughly counted over 60 in Minecraft and in Rimworld.

ok first of all your grammar is a little bad. second, there are plenty of hostile creaturees; and three, you can get the beta map which is one huge island. Also, did you know that there are other islands too? its not just that island that you spawn on.

Sorry, we live in total different worlds I think. For untenable promises I hold the developers responsible. Again, who else is to blame?

Now we better leave it, because you're just stuck on one single point here while I compared the complete promotion/devs description of the game to the existing facts in this game.

@Zalzany Did you make a new profile just to write this comment? I know some devs who hired people to do that, and it didn`t end well. but never mind, game is abandonware anyway...

No. This is not the reason why I gave a thumbs down.

In fact, main reason for doing this is simple:

Lies.

You cant tell paying customers lies.

Promises, expetations, long EA development, expectations remain unfulfilled.

This cant go on in this way.

It's not about me, because I earn enough money to get over the loss.

I'm talking about others who just can not pour money down the drain.

So you basing the price on your lack of freinds to play with... How the hell is that the devs fault? I mean real reason to not like it would be the fact that it got put on hold for another job they took to pay the bills that requires their full attention. But nope your complaining about a half finished EA game, for being half finished and your personal lack of friends to game with.

Crying out loud, you should be sued for slander, I mean come one when this was new I could get a group together to play this easy only reason its hard now is the devs are on break from this. that is the reall reason to not buy it. Should be Scrubsteve, you don't even know the genre, what you only pick up surivials that are mostly done? Crying out loud if you played ark and what not when I first played it you would lost your shit at how bad, and rough they were back then lol.
