“40+ hours in… still not done, but I love this game .”

Terraria is one of those games that looks simple at first glance… and then suddenly you’re 40 hours in, surrounded by chests full of weird loot, and trying to solo Duke Fishron at 3AM.

The game just doesn’t let you go. Every boss fight feels like a mini adrenaline rush, and the sheer amount of gear, biomes, secrets, and progression systems is overwhelming in the best way possible. There’s always something new to build, mine, discover, or get destroyed by.

Some highlights for me:
• Boss fights are actually fun, not just difficult for the sake of it.
• Weapons are creative and satisfying — from yo-yos to laser rifles.
• Constant sense of progression and discovery.
• Great for solo, but next level with friends.

That being said… I’m still not done. Empress of Light and Duke Fishron absolutely wrecked me — not gonna lie, those fights are way beyond what I expected.

I really wanted to finish the game solo, but I think I’ve hit my limit. Maybe it’s a skill issue (lol), or maybe it’s Terraria gently reminding me that this world is better conquered with friends.

Minor downside:
• Not everyone will vibe with the 2D pixel style or the open-ended progression. If you need your hand held constantly, Terraria might throw you into the deep end.

But for me? It’s been an unforgettable ride so far, and I’m nowhere near done.

10/10 would get stomped by Empress again. Bring friends.
