I must express my gratitude to the Project ACES team.

No game will ever impact me like the PS2 Holy Trilogy: Ace Combat 4, 5, and Zero.
While I sincerely wish that these incredible games were more accessible to new players, Ace Combat 7 is a love letter to people like me.

I feel like Namco understands what made the PS2 titles special and worked their hardest to recreate that feeling.

I highly recommend that you pay full price for this game and ask Namco to continue down this path. I bought it twice (PS4 launch day and Steam launch day) and I wish I could send them a tip.

I have never tried the online multiplayer but that's not what's important about this game or this series.

She's so pretty

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
It feels like this game wants you to drift all the time, so your car starts to violently slide if you try to trail brake or apply power while exiting a corner. It's not possible to launch the car without pulling an unrecoverable burnout that lasts through second gear.
All of the characters are ugly and unlikable.
All of the music is awful.
It feels like this game was made by people who know nothing about cars.
I bought it on a steep sale and I still feel ripped off.

This game is a must-play, absolutely worth every penny. Extremely rewarding movement mechanics, very well designed 3D platforming puzzles, and a pleasing, consistent PS1-style aesthetic. The game forces you to master each of your abilities to navigate the world, making you feel like a god at the end. I would say the only thing the game is missing is a map, but you get a feel for where things are and where you need to go after a few hours. I sincerely hope this is not the last that we see of Sybil or games of this type from the dev.

There's ponies

This used to be a good game. The push to implement EAC does not make sense, nor will it fix any of the 'issues' cited by development. Time to look for a new VR community application, pack it up.

I would say that this is a must-play VR title. This used to be one of my favorites until they changed the way multiplayer lobbies work. You can no longer play custom songs with your friends which constitutes the majority of my playtime. I probably won't touch it again until something changes. They don't even give you the option to pay for the music that I want to play.

I don't review games as a general rule.
I have to make an exception for Nier: Automata.
I firmly believe that this game will be remembered as one of the greatest games of our generation.
The sights are breathtaking, the music resonates with the environment, the combat feels fluid, the writing and direction are fantastic.
This game truly is a masterpiece worth every bit of its price tag.
