I expected some cheap slop but the game is surprisingly fun and has some well thought out mechanics and QoL. There are TONS of stability issues, graphical glitches, performance hiccups and so on and yet I can't stop playing it, very addictive even if you don't engage heavily with the base system, which is kind of what I do, I just made a small little crack house for the essential stuff. The seasonal wipe could be a deal breaker but, until I experience it first hand to gauge how it truly affects my enjoyment, I won't consider it a negative, there seems to be quite a bit of misunderstanding regarding the system itself too so I rather wait and see first and then decide if I'll continue playing past its first 6 week cycle.

Recommended if you like base building, some very casual resource management/survival aspects or if you just like going around shooting things and getting gradually stronger from it. It's also completely free so giving it a try won't hurt

Fun, endearing, janky, feels just like home if you played DDDA. But hell of a mess right now, performance wise. I can't in good conscience recommend the game, in its current state, even though I enjoy it myself.

Some hiccups here and there in regards to QoL and questionable design choices but the game is pretty damn fun. Surprising amount of player expression with specific techs involving certain characters, some of them seem unintended but make for a fun experience regardless

Takes forever to get going, and when it finally does you realize it ain't all that much. Not a bad game to get on a very deep sale though

Actually sad

Most of the performance issues have been fixed, the game is a rather fun 30 to 40ish hour playthrough if you enjoy this type of gameplay, much easier than both Niohs but still enjoyable. There is no real post game as of now, however. Yes, there is a NG+ but there's nothing really meaningful that is unlocked by going through the game a second time, none of the usual Nioh post game grinding and build theorycrafting actually exists here (this might change with more DLCs, though). It's far from an amazing game, but it's a fun, solid 6 to 7/10

So far a phenomenal game, clearly crafted by people who care about the source material. An easy recommendation to anyone, even people who aren't necessarily HP fans. However, in its current state, there are some pretty big performance issues on PC that sour the experience a bit, I'm hoping to see these being addressed soon.
