Early Access Review
Another very interesting, enjoyable horse game!
I played the first Horse Riding Deluxe and really enjoyed it, so I was quite excited to see a second game and I wasn't disappointed!
There are a lot of similarities between the first and second game, so I won't go into as much detail in my review for this one as I did the first.
I've been looking for reasonable horse games for a long time and I've tried many of them. This game is one of the closest ones I've found to what I've been looking for.

Gameplay:
- It's open world, so you can explore as much as you want to.
- Steering your horse is easier than the first game, but still realistic. You need to train your horse for it to become easier to control.
- There's no time limits on anything, so you can take your time and enjoy the game at your own pace.
- There aren't a lot of quests at the moment, so your main source of income is racing.

Pros:
- Stunning graphics in an very large, beautiful world, such a detailed environment.
- Day and night cycle. You don't need to sleep at night so you can enjoy the beauty of it as much as the day if you want.
- The horses aren't what I'd call perfect, but they are very cute and much better than a lot of others I've seen.
- Lovely background music, very appropriate.
- You can swim freely with your horse, which I love!
- You can choose your point of view to third person or first person.
- You can tame wild horses!
- The dog pets are really nice, though at the moment there isn't the same variety of pets you could have form the first game.
- You can't customise your horse's colour, but you sort of can by changing their mane colour.
- There is some character customisation, though some might think it's still a bit limited.

Cons (though I didn't personally find any these to be much of a problem):
- The animation of the character’s moving and jumping is still a bit strange looking, though I mostly play in first person view and don't really notice.
- The dialogue is a bit strange sounding, though not too difficult to understand.
- The horse care system is not very interactive. You simply buy the items and click on your horse to use them, there are no mini games for this. (Though it didn't really bother me since I'm not really into that anyway).
- There is currently no way to choose a name for your character, horse or pet.
- There is currently no way to have more than one profile.
- There's not a lot of story line in this game currently.

Comparing Horse Riding Deluxe and Horse Riding Deluxe 2:
Even though this game is still early access, I felt that so much had been improved from the first game. Horse Riding Deluxe 2 has so much potential for me.

I definitely recommend this game. 9/10
