Best game ever made

That said, the creative core of the team who created this game and the universe it's set in were forced out of the company last year. Until the IP is returned to it's rightful owners, do not support Studio ZA/UM in any way.

OMG, you're right! I've heard about that. 😔 I'm not sure I can play it anymore...

Of course it's a question of belief and not knowledge. Nobody except those directly involved can know the truth of the matter with absolute certainty. But these calls for piracy are presented within reviews, which are inherently a matter of opinion and not fact.

It still remains confusing for an outsider, and whether one believes one side is a question of belief and not knowledge. Therefore, there is no clarity and the multiple calls to play the game only as a pirated copy are questionable.

@Lateralus what narrative? as far as I'm concerned the world of Elysium belongs to Robert Kurvitz, it's his life's work. Whether you choose to believe him or believe ZA/UM is up to you, but given that one of ZA/UM's majority shareholders, Tõnis Haavel, is a convicted fraudster I'm not inclined to believe anything he says.

"Until now, we’ve refrained from speaking out. This has been entirely voluntary, out of consideration for the people still working at ZA/UM — and for our own mental health. But given the severity of our suspicions — and the seriousness of the evidence we have — we think it’s time people knew what has transpired at the company."

@MotziLLa I love how you keep providing proof that things aren't so black and white and they just ignore it to push their narrative

Things aren't as simple as they seem. It's unclear why the three creative designers had to leave, and what Telomer's lawsuit against ZA/UM (Telomer is the company owned by Disco Elysium's lead designer, Robert Kurvitz) is about.
All the news known so far goes back to Martin Luiga's blog posts, which are quite mysterious (Martin Luiga was a founding member of ZA/UM and worked there for a year).
