wonderful game, sound design is wonderfully done, I'm a nerd about it and I enjoy the effort put into it.

other than that, immaculate writing, great characters....
I didn't quite pick up on one of the main parts of it but, when I read 1 thing it ALL clicked into place. very human story, very great.

Mouthwash kills 99.9% of all germs!

The gameplay is really nice, maybe a little Weird (mostly because of some weirder stuff like starup frames on rolls being a tiiiny bit too long) but not due to some unforeseen chunkiness and getting used to it really isn't that bad so far.
Haven't run into too much immense reaction time based game design so far -- which is very good!!!! (because it's an easy trap for devs to fall for when designing something that feels difficult.)

Art is very good, everything is really cute. Love the shopkeeper, I get her gay grindset fr fr, and the dealsmaker (i forgot their name oops) is amazing too!

Music is Good, haven't beaten the game yet to have heard all of it, so if there are immense bangers I'm yet to hear them but otherwise the ost fits the game well and the compositions are pretty Alright!

I love the plentiful references to other games too, (like ultrakill, the tweet at Ed McMillen, a lot of the gun models being the ones that are also in CSGO/CS2) . This is one of those games where you go "oh.. this dev, they.... just like me.... they just like me fr!!"

I'm only 4 missions in so far and I am enjoying my time with this game quite a lot, it takes some getting used to but once it clicks, it clicks. It Is Very fun.
I was very pleasantly surprised to see how much dmc tech is just a default ability you have in the game.

I absolutely adore the characters! Samir is an absolute cutie scrimblo (positive) and the idea of his sword being sentient is perfect, their relationship as characters is great.

The art style is super cute, the music is Good and the story is easily digestible which is nice. The sense of humor is also lovely so far, it's mixed with nods to modern memes and I like that :)

The really only notable bugs or issues the games has are these few:
- sometimes using Dodge mode can end up with you being stuck in the ground, you can get out by targeting an enemy that's higher up and dodging again but it can be a little annoying.
- items are not reset after a checkpoint load, if you pick up a healing item and die without using it, you just Keep it. meaning technically you could just die over and over in a single place and get infinite full heals.
- no controller prompts, it's not hard to figure them out by just pressing things a bit, but it would be nice if they showed up when a controller was connected, or if it was just a thing that can be changed in settings.

Issues aside, so far this game is great. I am really sad that it has received so little recognition and will make it my mission to bother people into trying it alongside the other games I do that with :3


*As a side note, I expected this game to be kinda iffy with the many disclaimers it has about what it's like but so far it's been fairly tame, this might change later as I progress through the game but the edginess is absolutely not the Bad kind! This is a Good Thing.

Extremely Fun, Highly recommend getting some friends to play along with you because this game is a funny clips generator.

Gameplay is quite good, definitely feels like it can be expanded upon and have some more interesting things added in the mix but definitely in a good state as of right now, graphics work well, nothing shoddy or very out of place in comparison to whatever else is happening in the game, maybe a few of the collectible objects feel weirdly disproportionate in model quality but not really a big deal whatsoever.

overall, fun, highly recommend having someone to play with though!

fantastic game

I played this game the very first time in around 2016-2017 when it just released, before the solstice update.
I was 14 at the time, and just today, I have finished it. I'm in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tears, I do NOT cry at games and I am just destroyed,

but jokes aside, this DLC SLAPS!
Everything is just top tier, levels, music, new mechanics, I love it all!

Really fun multiplayer game with a great campaign, the players are also really nice and cool.

Oddly relaxing

I got this game when it was free back in 2017.
I just started playing the campaign now, it's honestly just awful.

cons:
-even on 110 FOV I feel pretty slow in game (not even sure it actually ever set to 110 now that i think about it)
-it feels like too many enemies focus fire on you
-you die very very quickly and with tons of enemies from everywhere you barely get to react before you are dead, combined with con above, it can be annoying
-the dialogue is just completely awful (example: guy1:"just leave X we dont need it!" guy2:"i fixed it!" guy1:"ok good we are really gonna need it!"
-all NPCs always enter every area before you do and they take their sweet ass time doing it
-gameplay is extremely shallow
-guns feel like peashooters and sound like them too (they all deal decent damage, they just dont feel like guns)
often get stuck in areas and you cannot proceed without offing yourself to restart at a checkpoint
-charachter movemnt is very limited: run, walk, jump, crouch
-the story is pretty bad
-everything in the story happens way too fast
-ending sucks balls

pros:
-you could waste a few hours playing it
-it looks decent for a game from 2011
-checkpoints are pretty forgiving so dying is not that frustrating

OVERALL:
This game sucks, quite a bit. I can't recommend it at all, unless you get it for free or near free, but dead multiplayer and bad campaign make even that a bad deal.
