Early Access Review
Imma be real with you all. I mainly played this game because of Namie (I play Arknights and had gotten Mizuki during the Dossoles Holiday event). The game runs nicely on my potato laptop at 1080p as well, which is a bonus as I get to appreciate the art.

[Disclaimer: I am pretty much a casual gamer, so as of this review I am playing it on normal difficulty.]

Pros:
- The gameplay feels like "Dust: An Elysian Tail", in a way. It's not severely punishing, but gives me a clear understanding of how I messed up with my timing.
- The art is a major part of the charm of "Lost Epic". The character design suits the world so nicely and I find myself sometimes just stopping to take in the view. It's no 3D open world, but I feel like the artists certainly brought out the attractiveness that the 2D style has. I am certainly picky when it comes to 3D appearances, but I just love how the art and effects complement one another - it's just wonderfully lovely.
- Yes, backtracking is a pain in the ass, but I enjoy looking for areas that I previously couldn't access before. Part of me is annoyed, yes, but it doesn't feel like it takes too long because I wind up searching for any goodies that I might have missed.
- While the story is pretty simple compared to most other games, I find it to be rather quaint. Like yeah, I don't exactly feel like I'm the Doomslayer, but more like a traveler looking around.

Cons:
- Artbook when? No, I'm serious.
- Minor English spelling issues (nothing too immersion breaking)
- Character customization feels a little lacking compared to games like "Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis", "Code Vein", and "Black Desert Online", but after a while I find the character that I chose to be rather nice. This is not a major complaint in comparison to issues that actually have an impact in gameplay, so I really don't mind having access to craftable accessories so far.

Overall:
So far, I am confident in recommending this game at its current $19.99 price as of writing. If the devs keep up this level of quality and refining the game, I wouldn't mind buying DLC (though that depends on the pricing). Overall, the game is rather enjoyable thus far and can't wait to play more!
