Monster Hunter Wilds is finally here and besides a few gripes, it's damn near perfect.
The gameplay and story reached a new high for this already great series, I'm not sure how they did it.

Overall, this is by far one of the best video games I've ever played, it's much less a game and more of an experience. But then why the negative review?

Performance and optimization, that's why.

I've got a pretty beefy machine myself but the performance has been all over the place with multiple crashes, for a game that's reaching above the usual AAA asking price this is simple unacceptable.

The people who made the actual game should be applauded, but this negative review is aimed at the higherups who chose to rush this game's development, not the people who made this absolute gem.

It's clear this game needed a longer time in the oven to iron out the performance but because it wasn't able to, it left the people with non cutting edge machines behind. Which I find to be the biggest shame of all.

Appeared at an odd angle on my screen once that made me think it was an actual Velkhana invading me, 10/10 would get jumpscared again.

It's just a little guy!

Normally I stay as far away as I can from microtransactions, but this one is just such a fun unique concept that I had to get him! This outfit also has the usual 2 color regions if the default auburn aren't your cup of tea.

Early Access Review
Go support this game, it needs all the help it can get to reach its ultimate potential!

I'm usually not so supportive of projects that are in early access, but PK has shown immense prowess and potential to become one the best dinosaur game on the market!

The Prehistoric Marine Species pack for Jurassic World Evolution 2 has definitely proven itself to be a worthy DLC.

I've always found the marine animal roster in JWE 2 quite lacking, this pack remedies that by adding some much needed key species to the lagoons, making it well worth the price.

This pack features 4 unique marine species to add to your lagoons, two of which come with a brand new mechanic!
Let's dive right in;

Archelon is the biggest turtle that ever lived and was my most requested lagoon creature! It (along with Nothosaurus) has a unique requirement in the form of a rock platform, which has also been added in this DLC, this makes it an extremely unique addition to the game that is sure to spice up your parks! My only gripes with it is that it doesn't have interactions with the other marine animals and occasionally makes some painfully unedited walrus sounds, the social animations for it could've also been better.

Nothosaurus from Camp Cretaceous is a surprise hit for me, it may even be my favorite of the pack! This is the second creature to make use of the before mentioned rock platform, it waddling its way onto the platform has completely stolen my heart. The show accurate sounds it makes are also a hit for me, though the skins (mainly the 2 lux skins) could've been a lot better.

Shonisaurus has been highly requested for 2 main reasons, Triassic rep and it being a really cool big ichthyosaur and with only Ichthyosaurus itself being in the base game, it's easy to see why this behemoth was needed. Add in some cool sounds, skins and animations to this guy and (whilst being the weakest of the pack in my opinion) it's easy to see why this is a solid addition to the game.

Dunkleosteus, the giant armored fish from the Devonian is finally here! It was about time Frontier expanded the marine roster outside of reptiles and I couldn't have THUNK of a better addition than the DUNK.

This pack is definitely worth the price if you're looking to expand your lagoons, though besides that it doesn't really add anything else. Considering that and the fact lagoons still to this day are pretty barren from both a visual and gameplay stand point, I can't in good faith rank this pack higher than say, the Feathered Species Pack.

What a fool I was buying this, thinking it was a slither of hope for this classic franchise to have an actual future. 4 bucks for 2 improperly implemented sloppily added store bought models.

What a scam.

Despite never having played a farming sim game before, I'm quite enjoying my time playing Paleo Pines!

It's sweet, cute and relaxing whilst also providing a bit of a thinking and planning challenge for the farming aspects.

The Dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures are all perfectly imagined in cute and cartoony forms whilst not skipping out on Paleo Accuracy, the gameplay loop around befriending them is also quite enjoyable.

Like I said, I don't play any farm sims, so I don't know how this game stacks up to the others.
But I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing Paleo Pines and am highly looking forward to future updates.
