Little Misfortune is a strange game from the start where everything is not what it seems. I went in blind as I bought the game last year and just had it sitting around till now when I decided to give it a go. I only meant to play for an hour but played through the entire thing in one sitting.

The cartoonish graphics and wonderful cutscenes help set the tone for the story as well as bring some reprieve to the overwhelming hints of despair. The game has many things that it shows the player explaining what is happening in the world but it's up to the player and Misfortune to figure what it all means.

The game will also subtlely show things about the world in tiny details that if you aren't completely paying attention you could possibly miss but aren't crucial. One thing that annoys me though is the amount of unanswered questions I have but will not place in the review of this or in my case a recommendation.

Yes the game is quite short at around 3 hours for me and I probably bought this at full price when it released as the trailer back then would have convinced me. However I forgot what it showed in that and just played blind which I believe to be a great way to experience things. The overall story and characters are fantastic and well worth the price but will leave you most likely wanting just a bit more.
