So initially I enjoyed the game as I'd been playing many games but none shooters except helldivers for about 2 months and a friend told me to try this. Its pretty fun going around blasting enemies as a one man army when your alone and doing what you can when others join you. The bosses I saw (the first 3) weren't anything too special besides being giants and having flashy attacks.

However in the main story and i guess dungeons there were enemies that basically felt like regular enemies that go invincible 3 times before dying and while you progress towards them the game hypes them up as threats and how amazing they are. Then you finish them off in less than 3 minutes usually and it made me laugh the first one is named Greg and later when he is reused as a miniboss named Clone of Greg. The story also for me at least I couldn't quite get my head around what was really happening and why characters were suprised when things would happen. Like oh the guy named Jeremy who can teleport and is described whenever you talk to him as having a treacherous intent who then betrays you and everyone is like "wow I never saw that coming" meanwhile the first time you see him the game tells you.

Gameplay wise this is a game where I could basically turn off my brain and play no strategy or thought needed besides what gun and equipment gives me bigger numbers. Maybe there is more to it but at the point im quitting I could 1 shot most enemies above my level. There's a few too many loading screens and maybe I'm used to more user friendly UI but it was often confusing on how to find things I needed and it could be my pc and internet I don't know but this had some of the longest load times I've had in a game for awhile.

The biggest reasons why I can't keep going or recommend this game is solely because for me at least when playing with a friend my experience didn't change from solo to having them with me it felt exactly the same. The weapons are like 10 weapons with constant reskins and that unless you pay everyone has the exact same look as your character so it's hard to feel like you stand out or to differentiate your friends at a glance without looking at usernames. Lastly while it's a decent game to turn off your brain and play I have other games I can do that and have fun with.

I've been following the development of this game for years now and I gotta say it was worth it. Personally I don't do well with horror games but with Rambley popping in made the game more bearable for me. The game is both cheerful and off putting as the Mascots make their appearances.

I doubt it will happen but I hope that there is a way to help the Mascots and Rambley as all of them immediately got me loving them and wanting more.

My only criticisms are I really wish there was more now and how the sprinting seems to stop sometimes or get caught on small corners.

An amazing story with so many twists, turns, and gut wrenching moments. This is now one of my favorite games I hope to show to others in the future. Glad I kickstarted it and found time to play it.

This was a wonderful game to experience for the price it is during the sale. In 1 sitting I played for 2.7 hours and that's because I took my time. I'm sure others will have shorter experiences but for me it was a pretty good run this is the only game I can think of where I cared so much for an inanimate object without a single understandable word spoken.

A single playthrough reading everything aloud will last you around 4ish hours after that its collectible hunting for family pins for the true ending. However this was a great game that made me laugh quite abit and sometimes into tears. The game has a fantastic little design for all the characters and made them memorable to me that even after not having seen them in a little while I still remembered their names. However my only complaint was a single family member only being around at a specific point in the story and not being able to find him besides that single moment.

This game seems interesting I gave it a shot because of the many good reviews and all the awards. However it isn't for me so I can't recommend it. Now if you like banished with the frostpunk style weather forecast this may be for you. To me it's way to intensive micro managing I prefer more like Frostpunk or Tropico style of management where I don't need to worry about every single citizens life and where they live or work. I just say I need workers and move them around. The game is also fairly slow moving as each character walks around doing stuff. It also felt like a good bit for the workers to decide to build a little bridge and to gather and move the resources to do so. I didn't finish the tutorial as I could tell already the game wasn't for me as worrying about clothing to protect against radiation, micro managing each worker and being able to see what I assume are all the buildings are from the start doesn't interest me.

I can understand the appeal of this game but I don't personally enjoy the constant reset after every death as yes I know that's part of the game but to me I don't feel like I am making progress as at least as far as I got there didn't seem to be any sort of like checkpoint to start off in the area I was in. Again I know rouguelikes are meant to be a hard reset but there is no quick restart and it takes at least for me a good while to get back where I was before.

So I have not finished all the episodes in this remaster yet if I need to change something I'll come back and edit this.
First off the good

Graphics: Significantly better shading and the way everything looks is almost like cel shading in a way.

Sound: is pretty much how I would expect sometimes cheesy sound effects but I wouldn't change that myself. Music sounded great but I don't think I heard any new tracks in the first episode.

Voice Acting: This game lives based on how well the script is delivered and as far as I know everything pretty much sounds great to how I remember it. However as many of the other reviews have said Bosco the store owner was immedietly something that sticks out. While the lines are there the actor seems like he is trying to be fairly calm and quiet compared to the old Bosco of being a loud shouting paranoid person. While I can't say I enjoy this actor over the other I think the lines and way that he does at least give off at least a paranoid part to an extent is bearable. I would prefer some way to have the old VA come in and do the lines or just to take the recordings from the old game and slap them into here.

Controls: Well it's pretty much what I thought it would be you use the mouse or keyboard to move around by either WASD or clicking where you want Sam to walk. Opening the inventory is easy to hit tab or click and running is shift or double click similar to how it was before.

Overall I think this is a great way to play the first season of Sam & Max and if you have never played the old games this is a decent way to play them. I do hope they remaster the second season and after seeing all the criticism either bring back the old Bosco or tell the new VA to step up his crazy.

Also I have to say while I understand on the changes to Sybil's design is a bit different than before giving her a chin and more face fitting glasses isn't too big a deal but I can understand if people get upset as it's different than Purcell had originally drawn her. As for censored lines I would have to find old footage and see what's changed as I don't remember all the lines in the games but everything still made me laugh and so far everything as far as I can tell is the same.

So far minor bugs or graphical glitches I am not sure which to use to describe it but in the first episode I have seen 4 things already. 1) The cheese in Bosco's store is floating off the table in the air after I leave the store and had interacted with it already. 2) Sam seems to go into an idle animation at the end of conversations sometimes. 3) When arriving at the Home for Child Actors or whatever its called where Brady Culture is Sam likes to jump out of the hood of the Desoto rather than the drivers seat. 4) The voice for the driver you pull over for the tail lights has 2 different voice actors in the same sentence.

Little Misfortune is a strange game from the start where everything is not what it seems. I went in blind as I bought the game last year and just had it sitting around till now when I decided to give it a go. I only meant to play for an hour but played through the entire thing in one sitting.

The cartoonish graphics and wonderful cutscenes help set the tone for the story as well as bring some reprieve to the overwhelming hints of despair. The game has many things that it shows the player explaining what is happening in the world but it's up to the player and Misfortune to figure what it all means.

The game will also subtlely show things about the world in tiny details that if you aren't completely paying attention you could possibly miss but aren't crucial. One thing that annoys me though is the amount of unanswered questions I have but will not place in the review of this or in my case a recommendation.

Yes the game is quite short at around 3 hours for me and I probably bought this at full price when it released as the trailer back then would have convinced me. However I forgot what it showed in that and just played blind which I believe to be a great way to experience things. The overall story and characters are fantastic and well worth the price but will leave you most likely wanting just a bit more.

I thought this was just going to be a meta game about disobeying The game but this was both light hearted and funny then towards the end legitimately made me tear up and cry abit. I know game was basically just a voice but man he got me right in the heart towards the end. The part where GiGi is singing and then Game is left alone and is depressed got me some of the stuff he says i've felt and still feel. I was sad to hear him like that and at the end when given the option to delete him was a thing I couldn't bring myself to do. However for the sake of seeing both endings I did and now with seeing both. Is there a possibility of a part 2 as I'm not sure what that wilhelm screen bit was about.
