I do fare fine with hooking and playing normally. But why would I do that when slugging is just better than hooking? Why hook for 18~ seconds of regression when I can leave you on the ground and immediately get someone else off of a gen, and now someone else has to pick up the slug? That's 3 people OFF gens vs 3 people ON gens with a slight delay? If hooking had at least similar value, maybe I'd play "normally".
