Early Access Review
Second offering from ONI Gaming. Definitely a different flavor than FAPI. Still early days yet, but so far, I like it.

This game is so very pretty. Full play through without paying much attention to achievements was just under 3 hours for me. I will be going back to see what I can do about getting all the achievements though. I love this. No dialogue, no tutorial (not really anyway) and pretty minimal cross-player interaction. Because you're limited in what you can "say", it honestly sometimes felt like the other players were NPCs. But at the closing credits, it tells you who you met along the way, and it lined up with what I had seen in game. Pretty cool. Would recommend to anyone who likes pretty, somewhat asian themed minimalist style games. Phew. Sound track and sound were awesome. Mood was great. I can't honestly give this one any "dings" at all. Extremely well executed.

This was great. I burned through these quickly, but the variations on the theme are fun. Immediately bought it for my son, who is at just the right age to find these challenging as well. Loved it. Would recommend!

Full disclosure, I got this as part of the Support Ukraine Humble Bundle. But I would have purchased this separately had I known about it.

Classic game (one of my top ten of all time) redone with new stuff and things. I haven't had nearly enough time in this yet to get into the real meat and potatoes of the game, but what I've seen so far lives up to the heritage. Well done, team.

If you liked NGU Idle, you'll probably like this one. Its obviously still early on, and 4G's games tend to build over time, and the real nuance isn't obvious until much later when all the various bits and pieces start to mesh together. But so far, so good! Thanks 4G!
Full disclosure, I received this games for free ... uh ... because its ... free.

So 11 hours was a single play through, which about matched my expectations for duration. I came for the story, and it satisfied that itch. It was engaging and kept me interested, and had me wanting to pursue to the end. There were definitely a few bits were I was pretty emotionally involved for the characters. Characters felt a little bit wooden, but were mostly fleshed out well. Having the ASE "videos" giving you some of the characters interactions was a great technique. Principle characters were great.

Gameplay and mechanics were reasonable. I never felt like the controls or game mechanics were confusing or hard to manage. I'm usually not a fan of games that just have you look around in the game to find things to interact with, but in this game, it made sense, and I never really felt like I couldn't find things I needed after a bit of looking around. There were, in fairness, a whole mess of things that I stared at thinking that they would be useful for something later, and then never got back to it. I don't know if that means there were other things in the game that they locked down as incomplete, or maybe I didn't explore something I could have. I think the mechanic of repairing things could have been used more often.

There were only one or two points in the game where I ended up dying due to game mechanics (not finding oxygen, for example). But the resets in those cases back to previous saves pushed me to explore different things and I found my way through after a try or two in all cases. That said, I'm also not a fan of games where you basically have to die to push you to explore the "right" places. But it sure is effective.

I liked the "Companion Cube" style narrative driver. The ASE was great at both driving the story as well as allowing for exploration in tight spaces. Well done, that.

Would have liked a longer story, perhaps. A bit more color to some of the supporting cast would have been nice. More puzzles, more things to repair. Overall, would recommend.

Dig it. Initial learning curve is a bit steep, but lots of resources and wiki stuff to help out. Very deep and complex like this style of game ought to be. Plenty of replayability.

Early Access Review
Really innovative and not like anything else out there at the moment. Purchased during early access. Updates are making good improvements over time as well.

Added 12/2/19:
I love this game. They continue to update and add DLC, improve the content and refine the gameplay. The mod community adds a rich layer as well. Many hours of replay-ability. I also am not very good at this, so I end up starting over frequently as I learn new things and discover more ways to manage the dupes, heat, food, power, etc. Awesome stuff.

I agree with some of the other reviews here. Yes, it is free to play, and as such, needs a different pricing model. And although I'm not fond of in-game payments and micro-payments in general, I'd be willing to pay if the ROI is right.

But $5 for 15 minutes? No, sorry, that ain't gonna fly. I'd rather pay $10 for the game and get unlimited or the ability to play for hours at a time if I so choose. This one is likely going to get uninstalled after a few more days of checking out the content.

I really enjoyed this one. I did two play throughs in order to get one achievement I missed. With 7.7 hours on record, I would say this is about 5 hours of solid content. The story is engaging, the scenery is gorgeous, and the mechanics are reasonabily intuitive.

The only mechanic that didn't immediately make sense is when the words are "spinning" around a clue, you can look around and make them form a single word when you're pointing in the right direction. That would have saved me a bit of time. While not essential to solve the game, it certainly helps. Several clues/item locations are FAR more obvious to find once you can visually see the clue that presents you.

If you're worried about this being too "horror" for your tastes, there is mild gore/murder/death scenes, and a bit of blood. Only one (brief) part of the game contains any real "scare" moments, and they are avoidable if you're quick. The music builds tension throughout, and I certainly felt the anxiety of the story along the way.

Thoroughly enjoyed this.
