Had this game in my library forever, finally tried it at the behest of a friend.

The swaying motion when turning your character and exaggerated head bobbing when walking is nausea inducing. No option to disable and none of the workarounds seem to have any effect. First game to give me motion sickness in years.

If that wasn't bad enough, the cutscene writing is also terrible and the protagonists have incredibly unlikable personalities. Also.. why do their accents keep changing?

I tried my best to give it a chance. But.. No. Just.. No.

*No Spoilers*

It asks more questions than it answers. It does have quite a bit to say about humanity's hubris and our reach exceeding our grasp. However, those points might be lost on folks who don't really get subtext.

I didn't hate it, but ironically for a title with a New Game Plus mode.. I'm not sure it actually has the longevity of Skyrim or Fallout 4.

I'm hoping there will be an extensive modding scene and hopefully some story DLC that ties in to the primary mystery of the game because, as of this writing, I can't see myself revisiting this title once I've cleared a few more sidequests.

It's a bit rough around the edges, but very enjoyable. Everything else is heresy.

It's pretty much everything I had hoped it would be. I look forward to replaying it when the extra playable characters release, etc.

Every time I get really into a long drawn out game of Stellaris they announce upcoming content that sounds so awesome that it becomes nearly impossible to play the current build.

10/10 would wait for content updates again.

How often can you pick up a game five years after first playing it and feel like there is something new to explore? Skyrim is honestly still amazing and I'll likely sink almost as much time into the special edition as my original playthrough.

10/10; Would Fus Ro Dah Again

A brilliant story shrouded in the murky darkness of the deep ocean. Though some people might be quick to draw comparisons to other titles, SOMA stands out with some truly unique story elements coupled with an immersive and chilling atmosphere. After finishing the game I am left with the same sense of awe and curiousity I feel after reading a really good scifi novel. Definitely worth playing.

A beautifully philosophical science fiction storyline combined with a unique and interesting puzzle mechanic. Excellent level design and wonderful atmosphere. If you like games that appeal to your intellect, you really need to play this game.
