What a fantastic game, some of the quests were hard to interpret and difficult to complete, had to google a few but damn, what a game!

FOR SUPER EARTH!!!

I want to enjoy this game, but the tacked on RPG mechanics really does this game 0 favors...

The story is pretty interesting, they kinda ruin it by making you commit to a path in the beginning but I could survive that...

The characters and hauntings are fairly fun exploring but the running back and forth gets very tedious, especially since you are locked to only fast travelling FROM a bonfire, so if something is 5 minutes away from a bonfire then you have to walk that distance TWICE which is really annoying...

Insane amounts of different resources that have 0 impact on the game overall, you can upgrade your gear to get 1% better but that does not matter because the enemies seem to scale with you.

Your level also does not matter, enemies will always level alongside you, the only time it matters is when you randomly stumble upon something that is 10 levels above you, that you can access without warning... The worst part? It doesn't even get that hard, just gets very very very spongey and tedious.

Strip away all the gear upgrades, strip away the "levels" (keep the talents, those are fine) and just let enemies scale alongside you, I dont mind the challenge being consisten all the way through but when you add levels and stats you make it seem like you will grow stronger than your enemies, which you dont...

Ugh, this turned into a long rant and I lost my train of thought, but this just pissed me off, it's like their designers took a great idea and said "This would be better if it played like God of War, but we don't know how they did that so we're just gonna yolo it"

The game delivers exactly what it says and its really fun!
You can both play it for the easy challenges but also for the aesthetics of the developing map!

Awesome game, this has everything anyone could want out of a game...

Hopefully the UI improves a bit before 1.0 but its not bad, just could be better and more intuitive!

Trying to balance the negatives...
Issues with Anticheat are seemingly resolved, it does not launch with Windows and does close down with the game. They could have chosen something else but it is what it is.
The server issues were temporary and according to Devs caused by Microsoft issues and not on their end.

My views on the game:
Its fun to play, I enjoy the progression, does not feel p2w even though it does have features that lean that way (you can pay to progress faster).
The concept of Creating a character that levels up by playing, that you can equip better items onto is neat, especially as when actually in-game you need to first perform before you can even deploy your stronger characters AND they have a cooldown so if you just go die right away you need to wait with him for a bit.

2 currencies:
Premium Currency = Buys cosmetics and XP boosters etc
Freemium Currency = Buys loadout items

Would recommed trying it, I have enjoyed it thus far! Altho I would prefer better matchmaking so that there is better hit recognition, playing with people on the other side of the planet does come with issues.

It is a good game, but even if you're looking for PVP I would suggest to play on a PVE server or a private PVP server, this game is not too well balanced when it comes to things like gatekeeping, as soon as one group gets ahead they can easily keep the rest of the server locked out of content which isn't great...

Great game, fun combat, fun cult management, a few secrets to find and overall a good experience!
Will probably play it again after a few content patches and / or a paid DLC.

My wife will keep playing on my 100% save just for the cult management part, a bit like animal crossing.
