This was an impulse purchase and I'm glad I did it. Perfect mix of Stardew/Rimworld/Terraria and the best exploration system I have ever seen in this type of game.

Personally find this game light years ahead of the first game despite being largely the same. Early missions/story are fun and engaging. Loadouts are simple but you can make them complex for unique fun builds. The MARS robot wins every encounter via artillery. Hope they can keep making big levels of progress with this game.

First game is way better. Save your money and buy the full edition Dying Light 1.

I didn't buy it at launch and I am glad I didn't. Playing it now there are no bugs, everything is pretty much balanced and optimised, runs smoothly and lots to unlock and earn. Overall I feel this is a very clear upgrade to Vermintide.

It's great. Made by the brains of the original Runescape and it plays like if OG Runescape was made with decades of experience, huge strides in technological advancement and genuine respect for players time and investment. A massive improvement all around. For Runescape styled MMO's this game is the new standard they need to look up to.

Cairns.

To give a brief but accurate description of what this game is: Terraria roguelike RPG with HD graphics sprinkled with the unique Soldak sauce.

So it's clear what you're going into you have a lot of classes available from the start but you have an insane amount of races/classes which you can unlock from playing the game. The gameplay loop after you're in the game is killing your nemesis assigned to you and as with all Soldak games chaos and randomness engulfs the game until you meet your objective.

The characters you can recruit are insane. Currently have some giant lizard person, a demon hunter who is transformed into a demon most of the time and homeless guy with no real skills who keeps trying to kill the other two residents whenever I'm there. Your nemesis also likes to check in with a diplomacy message every now and then, this message is always him calling you a loser out of nowhere. I have learnt to appreciate these.

Mining/crafting and base building are all extremely smooth and enjoyable. The deeper you dig the more insane the monsters get. Lots of little excursions in caves while mining to keep it interesting while getting to the rare ores.

Overall I feel like this is way more polished than I expected and have encountered zero bugs after nearly 5 hours. I would 100% recommend this for anyone who enjoys Terraria and a great gateway game into Soldak style of games for new people.

Needs refinement but its a great game. Well worth the price.

Insanely overhyped. Stick with Hades.
