It's fun, can be a bit grindy though towards late game.

Very nice to play, preferably with a guild or friends.

Truly one of the best, most genuine and heartwarming experiences I've had, let alone in a video game.

I will say one thing before I go into my spiel though. If you are about to go into OneShot, do it completely blind if at all possible. It is in part due to this that I will be avoiding spoilers entirely in my review.

From the start the game quickly becomes an enthralling experience, and the charm of this game's narrative, characters and world shine through from the get go. This is where the majority of the game's forte culminates, and it maintains a very strong hold throughout. This hold is especially apparent with its mechanics and unique relationship with the player, which eventually come together to form what I believe to be one of the strongest unique experiences and narrative one can look for. The strength of this narrative will be most particularly apparent towards mid-to-late game. The dialogue of the game is great while setting up the evens of the story and a very prevalent tone, and given your unique involvement... well, its something better explained in practice than by word of mouth.

Now, the gameplay does fall to items, puzzles and such scattered about the world. While I did have some initial worry about this, the fact of the matter is that the game's puzzles, items, and overaching endeavors are positioned and structured in such as a way that they'll generally come together, without you having to run into that "Oh no I forgot something and have to walk all the way back for it", especially if you're the exploring type which this game caters to. Even despite the possibility, the fast travel function eliminates the problem entirely, making it a non-issue. I only really had an issue with one puzzle, though that was just me forgetting what scissors can cut through. Overall, even if you aren't experienced in puzzle games or similar genres, you shouldn't have a problem getting into the gist of OneShot.

The art style is fantastic, and is constantly played well throughout, with its varying aesthetics one of its strong points as well, particularly when playing into its tones in the story. If it helps any, I did originally get into this game from first seeing OneShot's wonderful protagonist.

The quality of OneShot is consistent, and out of this world. It is engaging throughout the entire experience, and you will have a blast playing this game, if only you're willing to give it... a shot. You won't regret doing so.
