Every time you start to think, “Maybe this game isn’t as bad as people say,” it smacks you back to reality. Take an average shooting game, throw in an deranged plot, broken balance, countless bugs, and a blatant disrespect for Wolfenstein, and you end up with this thing.

This game's greatest strengths are its cover art and, secondly, the fact that it is free.

Aside from these, it doesn't offer much in terms of playability or engagement beyond retelling the original narrative by H. P. Lovecraft. Not to mention the game struggles to convey the unique concepts and atmosphere that define Lovecraft's writing - a challenge that, arguably, no adaptation has fully overcome. In the end, you would be better served by reading the original text than by playing this interactive novel.

All the criticisms of this game are true. It lacks DLSS support, and although the combat is real-time, its poor design makes it feel awkward and almost turn-based. While it tries to replicate the atmosphere of Dead Space and succeeds to some extent, it ultimately fails to reach the same level of quality. Whether it is worthwhile depends largely on price; if you acquired it for free or discounted, it may be worth a try, but it is difficult to recommend at full price.

If Steam offered something between "Recommended" and "Not Recommended," this game would be a solid "Neutral" for me.

Somehow, they managed to make both the graphics and performance worse than Monster Hunter World - quite an achievement, really.

作为所谓的首款“3A”游戏，黑神话的质量绝对可以了。个人觉得可以拿来和只狼相比较，虽然在细节上还不如只狼完善。

游戏个方面水平都挺高，优点太多就不赘述了，这里重点批判下缺点：游戏最值得诟病的地方在于祖传他妈的空气墙，在你想得到的地方有空气墙，在你想不到的地方有空气墙，在你觉得绝对没有空气墙的尤其会有空气墙。你妈的，前面有路你放个空气墙，前面是坡你放个空气墙，前面就是沙壁，在沙壁前面还放个空气墙，壁上加壁是不是有点过于沙壁了。

上一个因为空气墙被我重点批判的游戏还是游骑兵的地平线重制 - 只给了A级 - 在我的评价体系中基本属于等外了。

黑神话我扣一等给个SS不过分吧。

Generally, I tend to play games in English or Japanese because the Chinese localization can be so bad. But with Black Myth: Wukong, it's the other way around. I specifically tried the English-localized version, and it just kept proving my point: It is inevitable that some of the soul will be lost to the localization process. The game's Chinese feels like Shakespeare, while the English reads just like Harry Potter.

The localization team seems overly worried that readers won’t understand, so they’ve omitted many metaphors, imagery, allusions, and rhetorical devices... A good Chinese story simply cannot be told in a plain and straightforward manner, as the plain narration itself goes against the essence of the culture. ...Perhaps, I’m being too demanding.

But anyway, there's no need to feel regret; just think about all those English games with shabbyshǎbī localization... It’s not too much to ask for something different once in a while, eh?😂

For a puzzle game, there's too much emphasis on action.
For an action game, the combat feels way too sluggish.
This game isn't hard to play, yet it's hard to enjoy.
Enemies don't hit hard, yet fighting them is so painful.
It's rare to find a game where the gap between action and puzzles is this wide..
