I would rather give this one a neutral.
Even though the game itself has good art and voice overs for a solid part of the dialogue (some mistakes exist there too for some reason, like lines repeated in voiced form and yet the text is different or similar), the game itself is all over the place and a complete mess.

I did enjoy it due to expecting a meme game, but the bugs were everywhere. They even changed engines later after release and that ruined the scene viewer - it doesn't even work. In a game where that is the focus I can't help but laugh.
The other issue i read is that character sprites are of lower resolution after switching engines.
What I noticed is there is only 6 save slots and no autosave feature. Everytime you press right click or leave the save menu it returns to character select screen - basically forcing you to reload that exact save you just made.
Ending screens always show first the previous ending screen and then switch to the new one after a second or two.

The last part i want to mention is the story. Starting off it is funny and good. Then you think you can make a choice - character select and see where the story goes, nice. You finish one character and when you select the next all the development is reset and it seems that the game focuses on a single character run which is fine. But after each character is completed some other character is unlocked. But the problem is that some of it feels like a continuation of the previous one and others downright are a new run. So all of the progress towards character development is lost. I wouldn't be commenting on this if it wasn't for the fact that in the games finale you have basically all the characters acting as if you completed their routes somehow. It makes this game feel more of a mess coupled with the bugs.

Overall yes it is fun to some extent but it could have been a lot better while keeping all the main parts as they are now. The story beats, the characters and their development (its actually good), the art and animation, the voice acting and the actual twist at the end. Just more care and polish was needed. For the bugs and also to tie in a little bit of the character stories.

A neat little puzzle game. Gives off some Escape Room vibes.
The soundtrack is for some reason eerie and I really enjoyed playing this late at night.

This standalone expansion was .... amusing. Weird but amusing.
There are 4 campaigns here plus the whole challange mode but the campaigns have 3 missions each (except the Soviet one which has 4) so the main story can be completed quickly.
I don't really like the whole 1 storyline is cannon sort of thing in games when there are multiple factions having completely different endings but this universe should never be taken seriously so who cares. The most interesting part of this game is the Yoriko Campaign. This is some insane Japanese Schoolgirl Anime parody type of sh*t that I had a blast playing trough. Instead of the other 3 campaigns this one should have been longer and would make this game very unique in the C&C franchise.
New units are introduced. They are good for the most part, some are a little broken and break the game (techically speaking).
The game has INSANE frame drops on any machine when particle effects are introduced - mostly from the units using freezing equipment. Holy hell this brought back to me a lot of memories playing RTS games on my 1st PC. Now I question if it was my PCs fault or just the games awful code....

Still the game was good and even though I got bored at the end with the commander challange I still give it a pass, mostly due to the 3 missions in the Yoriko campaign.

A puzzle game that, at one time, turned into one of the most competitive fighting games and even had live tournaments. I am not joking that I understand how that happened. It is just a very interesting puzzle game - never fail to amaze me Japan.
So the puzzle game is very interesting and can be insanely hard, especially on the different mode that the game offers.
The game is very adult themed, meaning it works with complex problems such as marriage, unplanned pregnancy and cheating. As you follow the story trough the eyes of the protagonist you basically get confused as to what is happening and how. The reveal later is done very well and I really liked the games approach to the endings. In total 8 endings exist and after going blind and getting one of them, I recommend looking at a guide before going for the rest.
The segments between the puzzles are filled with animated cutscenes 2D and 3D with some good voice acting from famous voice actors. The Bar segments are a very nice touch where you can text, chat with other people to see how they are all connected into your story and dring alcohol while listening to some of its trivia.

Honestly I had fun with this game. The story segment and the bar was something I enjoyed the most. But the puzzles ranged from good to downright frustrating. I had ragequit a couple of times on a single stage that I consider BS, and it is in the middle of the game. Still I do recommend it due to it being so unique.

The best spin-off title in the C&C franchise. One of the most iconic RTS games ever made.
I remember being confused at my local market and after going to the store several times after picking up the base game and the sellers always recommended this one. The msot confusing part is that they used the same box art for the 1st game and the expansion. After picking it up I was amazed. I love this game still to this day. Installed it on my friends PCs and always had a blast. Heck, some of my friends worldviews stem from the insanity of this game (their caritacures). Every few years I reinstall the game in order to play a match or two vs AI.
The soundtrack is something of a regular occurence in my background music playlist.
Regardless, the game still holds up to this day, some technical stuff asside (like FOV and resolution). You apply some fix/community workaround and voila.
The gameplay is simple and to the point, as any C&C game was previously. The factions are unique and dramaticized trhough the lens of a westerner. This couldn't be made today due to DEI and Woke culture (read lack of culture) as it would be outright banned or destroyed by the mainstream media.
The story is not deep, just extremely fun since it makes fun of each faction.
The graphics is great for its time and unit distinction was never better before or after in the C&C franchise.
The soundtrack is iconic along with the unit voice lines and dialogue.
The balance of the game can be a bit off but each faction has its unique flavor so you can manage and find your style. This time around they introduced Generals. Every faction has a base faction and 3 generals with different specializations. These range from aviation focused, tank, traps or nuclear. It is insane how much variety there is. That proves that the C&C formula works extremely well in this spin-off. Also the General Challange is something I think I played the most. Saddly you cannot play as the final enemy - that would be insane if only you were able to play in custom games or vs AI. She has all the factions units If Im not mistaken.

One of my favorite games of all time which brings a lot of old memories back to me. Recording video game cutscenes or gameplay via my old SonyEricsson k550i just to show my friends outside. Video editing with the games soundtrack. Wild times.

And with that I shall bestow this game with the highest honor. *Add to Steam Favorites*

This was my introduction to the main game. The story is simple yet it feels as though it is aimed at people who know the main game a bit at least. The gameplay is fun and difficult, but you have enough hints and it has that oldschool feel of not telling you everything you need to do every step of the way. I managed to complete it in about 40min without any guides so it is not "unfriendly to new players".
There are tutorials for weapons and their usage, everything you can pretty much find out easily yourself. Good demo.

A much better experience than Spartan Assault. The controls are better, more weapons, more enemies and no multipliers. The only thing is this game is much easier and much more casual , as it should have been the case with Spartan Assault. Spartan Ops are easier even though grindy, the story is nothing to write home about but still interesting with a lot more going on in the background of the missions. The turrets dont overheat anymore and vehicles are more durable. Also the soundtrack is great. The UI is the only thing that stayed the same.
Absolutely worth it.

Simple and fun.
The most difficult part of this game is getting 12 players to play.
