The game is alright. I enjoyed playing it for the most part.
At its core i really like it because it has a lot of depth and has a good sense of scale. The units, even though not perfectly balanced, are unique for their factions. I like the idea of Divisions instead of just Nations like it is in Wargame. Combining both would be great. The terrain visibility circle/radius is a much needed addition when comming from Wargame.
The soundtrack is good but gets repetitive fast since there is 4 tracks.
The unit voices are good just like in Wargame, but the national announcers are kind of meh, especially the fake german one.
The graphics are good but runs like sh*t if you just add a lot of units and play on a big map with multiple players.

Well, they have a campaign but they all have timers.... This ruins the replayability of the campaign and it gets boring really fast. You don't have time to explore units because they are phase locked and timers in missions jus render C phase units almost useless. The game itself is adrenaline pumping because it feels overwhelming having to micro manage everything, but the AI is unbalanced with not just resources and number of units, but with the ability to multitask different units at the same time (like any other AI but they usually get limiters at normal or lower difficulties). In this game even Normal AI feels overwhelming even while playing with a small number of units and are winning on 1v1.

There are also weird glitches i found when playing:
- If you are fast enough and manage to capture enemy spawns there are times where you can't eliminate enemy "borders" from the game even if they have no units in that area. The borders move like a "blob" and push to the nearest spawn to recapture itself once your units move a bit.
- The most frustrating thing that made me replay the 3rd british escort mission 4 times! is the stupid glitch which doesn't let your friendly AI spawn units if you have a certain ammount. I found that out when losing that mission by 1s when a unit was nearby for escort and the escorts were not interrupted any time by enemies, they were not spawning fast until some of my units died! So the idiot that coded that part of the game I salute you. So you have to handicap yourself during escort missions so your friendly units can spawn (only if they are controlled by AI). Also if you have a lot of units spawned, the enemy AI can also glitch-out and not spawn any reinforcements.
-On one mission I had half enemies not even spawn for some reason. Replayed later to see how much more difficult the mission actually is.

The game is good but like all wargame titles, it has only PvP in mind. The campaign is an afterthought and the AI is not annoying to play against. So, since nobody plays MP I'd give it a neutral. But all the little details in the game are good. The mechanics, units and whatnot. Only the setting is boring as well though, lacks variety. So I'll give it a positive but only on a deep sale, just to try it out and if you enjoy it a little bit then it is a safe bet you will enjoy Steel Division 2 or even WARNO.
