This is a fantastic game! Whether in creative mode or survival, it is so satisfying to see your creations take shape. Stretching your imagination to the point you break the games physics is also quite amusing. I have sunk a lot of time into tweaking my craft & really appreciate the support of a robust modding community to add that bit extra.
I only have one major complaint, even though this is in no way a game breaker, and that is this; I wish your craft would rotate on their centre of mass rather than from the cockpit/flight seat position. I have several asymmetrical craft & it seems weird having them rotate from a point on the side.
Apart from that quibble, I love sinking hours tinkering with designs & seeing what I can come up with!

This is a fantastic game that I think gets misrepresented in a lot of reviews. It is NOT like the Witcher in any respect except you have a sword & Horse. Think of this as more of a medieval sim where you go about the life of a simple guy out to make it in the world after some pretty rough times. You are a peasant, and you are treated as such.
The Gameplay is fun, if you like the difficulty. It’s good to play a game where saving is rare & the consequences of your day-to-day can have some major impacts. You don’t enter into fights lightly as the combat has a sharp learning curve & is skill based, as well as being.. Well, deadly. Even later on as your skill increases, getting into combat will make you think it through before whipping out the sword.
One thing I will also point out is the cut scenes. A few of these are rather long. This isn’t a complaint, on the contrary; just a warning. I enjoyed them thoroughly. They are often fun & full of heart & round out your character beautifully. (One particular night of debauchery makes me laugh every time I think about it.)
On the whole, I can recommend this to anyone who enjoys sinking some time into a character & taking the time to appreciate the world they are in. Maybe even spending some time learning the rich lore of the area & era. And to people who don’t feel the need to be in combat all the time.
Sometimes it’s nice just to ride a horse through the forest & see what the world throws at you!

Easily one of the best RPG's out.
With brilliant voice acting (I love the narator! And every charactor is voice acted!), cool charactors with very different personal ambitions & story lines, plus a world where different factions all vie for their objectives; all combine in a setting rich with mysteries & fun.
The combat makes use of everything from the surfaces on the ground & combining them with spells ect to create awesome (& sometimes self damaging) effects, to using charactors abilities in combo for maximum damage. This is acheived in a well thought out turn based system.

It can't be understated, the amount of work that went into this game. So many stories, jokes & situations that flesh out a vibrant world you'll want to spend a lot of time discovering.

For a "smaller" studio, I think Larian is among the best there is! This level of work leaves a lot of its contemporaries for dead.

I am 4 & a bit hours into a quick 15 minute look at this game :)
I have barely begun to scratch the surface of the mechanics of this game, there are so many ways to use the multitude of items available. I am also loving that I am constantly being pushed out of my comfort zone with new challenges & variety of missions. These missions range from straightforward small ship assassinations to larger ships with guards & turrets sporting a wide range of gadgets to make your life more interesting than you may want :).
The combination of (dare I say it) "Rogue-Like" elements with the ongoing story/map progression across characters is quite a nice touch. Adding the feature of being able to retire a character & send a named weapon into both yours & your friends' random pool was an excellent idea.

I can seriously see myself spending quite a bit of time heisting ships across the universe & if you like well made, thought out & executed semi roguelikes that have tense & funny moments of self-generating stories, this might just be for you too.

I started this game back in early access & only played a bit. I came recently back to it & fell in love with it. While simple on the surface, constructing missions, working out resourses & THEN getting it into space, makes for fun & mayhem.
The sandboxmode is fun, but personally I recomend the career modes. The constraints they add bring out more inginuity I feel.

My main criticism is the lack of a mod managing system. Either through Steam workshop, Nexus or internaly.

Even though this is a bit dated graphics wise, the story and characters still hold up to make one of the best games of this genre.
