My favorite game to chill and relax to!

What a shadow of a Bethesda game. A step backward in every way, it's a boring walking (or, more realistically, loading screen) simulator, littered with 1000 empty and uninspired planets.

the gunplay is described as "better than fallout 4" which is not a high bar to pass.
I haven't been able to finish this game, and I'm not sure I will. I've played every BGS game since Morrowind (including the early TES titles), and this is the first that not only failed to grab me (despite pushing through the "slow start"), but actively bored me.
i was unable to lose myself in the world. While New Atlantis is a pretty city, on par with early Mass Effect, the lack of a real map made navigation impossible, all quest information is given to you once by npc, hope you were paying attention, because there is no information to be found in your journal besides a check list. you can run back and ask the most important details again (if you remember which planet they are on) but there is no information to be found within the quest description, besides a one line sentence which typically has little to do with the stage you are at in the quest and a check list.
npcs are nameless and meaningless, most dont even have a home anymore, yet alone a routine

anyway thats as poetic as im getting, heres a bunch of pros and cons

Pros:
The persuasion system was actually pretty awesome.
Some nice set pieces in the "random" AI-generated structures.
Interior design across the board looked better crafted than previous games.
Lighting was fine.
Of course, it has a great character creator.
the ship builder is cool but you cannot preview the inside, and changing anything stores all lose items
Cons:
i dont understand why they removed the junk system from fallout 4 since they made resources so important (and heavy)
you cant dive underwater ???
on planets points of interests are far far away and there is no way to speed up traveling besides running and jumping and taking damage because you are out of stamina

and of course bethesda will lap up the honor of most innovative gameplay without even a shred of irony
ive never been so disappointed in the future of bethesda

i cannot in good faith recommend a game that not only bans inactive users (how dare you play something else), but will proudly display "1 BAN ON RECORD (0days)" on any users who decide that the game is not for them. i have uninstalled this game, and i urge you to avoid any games made by this publisher.

dont need another launcher, also heart linux apparently

broken controller support and the game crashes about every other cutscene, what a shame

one of the better stranding type games out there
