It's like the infinite ikea game and half life 1 had a baby.

It's also not a buggy incomplete mess, the core mechanics are there, the foundation is solid, they're just fleshing it out.

Was not worth the price. Mother osty is just painful to play, The new Cathay lord doesnt bring much to the table and the changling is eh at best.

this is probably the best game on steam. If you are holding off, don't. It's worth every penny.

its a good start, but it's not even close to finished.

The intro section is long and clunky. It forces you to play a tutorial that's available on the main menu.

The "run to the shuttle" sucks ass. It's not good and it reminds you how clunky everything is.

speaking of clunky, good lord movement/interaction sucks. Need to see an animation rework and speed up. Movement right now is like you're riding a bucking greased pig and interaction consists of just random "boops" to different objects.

It's a good start, but right now it's not.. yeah not great.

Here's an updated review and holy cow does this game have issues.

The Devs aren't great. There is basically no communication to or from the team and very little ingame moderation outside of a horrific chat censor that is impossible to turn off (and censors such classics as "basement" and "therapy").

Alternate accounts and above all dedicated griefing accounts are given at worst temporary bans. Blatant griefing accounts (dumping thousands of hours of material into the ocean publicly) can go days without interruption and since the game can be refunded there's minimal financial expenditure or time investment required.

As for the game itself? it's a mess.

Holes in the map everywhere. Hope you set your spawn before you found one!

Nuke mechanics don't work, both of the nukes launched in this war (war 100) have been due to bugs or exploits. There is basically no other way to launch a nuke currently.

Voice comms (essential for playing a team game like this) are constantly breaking requiring restarts and returning you to the home island. This means you often need to wait half an hour or more to get back to the fight.

The building is great! Provided you have hours to actually build anything. Oh and you then need to babysit anything that's not concrete because fire is not balanced at all. And if you want concrete it takes ages of babysitting to get to it and it requires a stupid amount of components (used to make Rmats (the material used to make tanks and heavy weapons)) which take hours to mine and are difficult to obtain at the best of times.


On the subject of building: Gsup/Bsup consumption/production is still an issue. If you want to build anything with actual defences prepare to spend hours each day playing click-a-box in a back line town to print stupid pointless cans of "my building is actually doing something, please don't delete it".

The shooting mechanics are great, but buggy. Its very difficult to actually hit a target in any form of cover and the practice of "shadow dancing" (running around in circles then using quick aim (0.5 seconds of 100% accuracy) to clap people) isn't fun and it doesn't fit.

Balance is beyond awful.

Colonial super tank is useless and basically nobody will build it.

Colonial heavy field gun (the stygian) will one or two tap anything short of a BT (battle tank, takes 24 hours to build and will still probably be crippled first shot). The warden equivalent (the stockade) is unusable due to limited range and underwhelming firepower.

There's much more I could write here. Like how the colonials lack a decent early game PVE tool, how the colonial static weapons (aside from the ISG) are awful, how the boma is broken as hell, how the osprey is a pile of trash, but the devs (again) either know this and don't care or don't know this because they do not listen to community feedback.


Long story short: Devman bad. Game fun for few hours but not fun after. Do not buy game. Stay away. Spend money on good titles.
