I want to like it so bad, but it just doesn't WORK. The balancing around stamina, items, damage along with the endless technical problems makes every interaction with the game so painful that the good parts just don't seems that good in comparison. Needed another 6-12 months in the oven. Sucks.

For an early access game, it is great, it is a fun game. Though the games huge problem right now is the amount of content. There are 3 gamemodes, 3 maps, and a decent amount of weapons. What made the previous game so great was all of the maps and custom content. There is no custom content at ALL in this game and I can only reccomend it because it is insanely fun and exciting. The hunt gamemode with keep your heart beating faster and faster, the objective-based co-op is fun but it is VERY easy to get separated from your group of survivors, but the race for weapons and survival in this gamemode is exilerating enough to keep it alive. For now, like I've said it has almost no content and the only map for this co-op mode is lengthy. the final gamemode is where you work with other survivors navigating a tight neighborhood in order to fend off zombies from a defendable house and rescue the few survivors in those houses. I consider this the best gamemode.

Final verdict: It is a very fun game, but unfourtunetly you wont get too many hours on it until the decide to incorporate community-made maps and content. It is worth the 15$ price tag and will become an even better value once more content has been implemented.
