What do Economists know, anyway?

Yeah, I've been interested to see what would happen. I sold one extra yesterday for $0.17 and now they're up to $0.20. I just receive a Hotline Miami booster pack; I was thinking about opening it, but it sells for $1.17. I'm going to hold on to the cards a bit and see what happens. I remember Valve hired an economist (http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/economics/it-all-began-with-a-strange-email/) , so I imagine they know exactly what they're doing.

I am not so sure that Steam has thought through the whole trading cards thing fully. Or, maybe they did. By making the resource (cards) finite, the "value" of the resource should only increase with time. Long story short: I would advise holding on to the trading cards from the summer sale for a little while and see if they grow in value.
