If you like thronefall or any other combo of like roguelite / city builders / deck builders, this is probably one you'll appreciate. Fast paced, can completely break the game, simple to grasp, but has a high learning curve, very addicting once you get into it.

an actually refreshing and fun new survivors like game. you build your character from scratch in the run itself. no time wated in menus creating a loadout, which was something i didnt realize annoyed me until now. Also plays great on SD.

Plays a bit like a mix between some of the mechanics of Curse of the dead gods mixed with Hades gameplay. It's faster than curse, but slower than hades. Every time you enter a side of the loop, there's a boon / curse mechanic, so you have to try and balance the positives for yourself, without stacking too many run ending negatives. It is fun, and the dev team is engaged on their discord, constantly taking in feedback, and honestly very quickly implementing changes based on that feedback to try and improve the game. I think it's definitely worth the asking price of $15.

A perfect blend of roguelite with meta progression and tower defense. I honestly have almost no bad things to say about this game. If you like TD games, this feels like a blend between classic and modern, and is IMO a must buy.

Yay, the sequel is finally here. I haven't completed a run or anything yet, and am still all things considered pretty early into the game I'd imagine, in the demo I got to the point of beating the first boss, but from what I can say so far, looks like this game pretty much hits on everything the first game did right and then some more. Everything just feels like it has more to it, which is great and all I could really ask for in a sequel. One thing that does confuse me slightly, is that in the first game, you could always dump resources to go back to town I believe before a boss, or maybe after, it's been a minute, but you could also find carts along the way to send resources back. In the sequel you can get birds that can take resources back to town, but it seems far more random and less likely to happen. I don't know if maybe there's something I will unlock later to make this process less punishing because you are going to die a lot in the early game, and maybe it's a way to balance getting too powerful too early, but I miss being able to have my resources have some reliable ways to get back to town.

Still, all of that being said, what a banger, loving it.

Actually a really fun turn based roguelite, it is still early access so I expect some things will change / improve, and they have a really good roadmap laid out, honestly it already feels like a pretty fully experience despite it's early access, so I'm excited to see how it continues to build out over time. Definitely worth the $20 price tag already, will get lots of replayability out of it.

Greatest ARPG in a long long ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. It's what blizzard was trying to do with D4, but done correctly. Slow methodical combat, it's not brainless just hitting your bunga abilities and killing bosses in one second. It may eventually become that, but this feels far more like dark souls meets diablo than just your standard ARPG. The combat feels weighty, your hits and attacks really feel like they have oomph to them, and so do the bosses. you will not face tank big hits, you will need to learn to DODGE!

It's definitely a fun game, and honestly, ignore the negative reviews saying the game is too difficult or unbalanced because it's not, I think what a lot of these reviews are failing to realize is that there is a mechanic to go back and replay missions while in a timeline which is basically a campaign. You will undoubtedly fail some missions, especially early on before you have some meta upgrades and that's fine, keep going, you don't lose unless your disaster bar reaches max, and when you go back and redo an old mission, not only does it not scale so you end up ♥♥♥♥ stomping it, but you stomp it so hard it becomes a crystal farm so you get massive upgrades from it. Once you realize this, the game is actually not hard at all.

Now, real criticism wise, the weapons and attachments system is INCREDIBLY COOL, but also super unfortunately limited, and probably my one complaint is I want more weapons, more more more more more, which might be difficult because of having to then program attachments and how some may function with each new weapon without having overlaps, but honestly find a way, gimme more attachments and more weapons and more ways to make the combinations of them super interesting, lose your mind, go crazy, whoever the dev for this game is, take inspiration from magicraft and just go nuts. That would be my advice on where to take the game forward if you continue or plan on updating it further. Otherwise, it's still well worth the $5 I spent, I even bought a copy for a friend I enjoyed it so much.

Fantasy May Cry. Final Devil Trigger. IDK, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good though. My only gripe is that the action and story and everything is super compelling, but after every major story beat, there's like a soft reset where you go back to base and get side quests and hunts and feel obligated to knock those out, and the sidequests, at least most of them aren't particularly compelling, really just leaves me wishing they'd have cut a lot of the fat off of this title, had a few really solid side quests, and then just kinda kept the main story rolling.
