You need to know the entire lore behind the Yakuza games before playing this game, and this is the only game where I say it is mandatory to know the lore. Yakuza Like a Dragon you can go in the game without knowing anything and you'll have a good experience but not with this game. This game has one of the best combat styles in the entire series, pocket racer, and pretty good sub stories. The ending is so good it will break you and make you wanna jump off a roof.

Combat is very different from traditional Yakuza games, but I found it more enjoyable than some of the other Yakuza games like Kiwami 2, Y3, and Y6. Everything else is still the same if not better, and the amount of content in this game is insane. The main story, sub stories, side content (excluding Dragon Kart) , combat features like Pound Mates or your character's personality is all great, but the leveling was a bit annoying mainly because in the final chapter you need to be a certain level to be able to finish the game without getting demolished and having to retry over and over again, plus minor spoilers the last boss has a one shot move and if he hits Ichiban with it you lose. Other than that the game is wonderful and it's a must play if you're interested in the Yakuza series.

If you want to play this game you will need to download few mods to make the experience better like:
-CBBE
-Realistic pregnancy
-Fertility Meter
-Body fat mod
-Creature penis morphs
-Goddess bodyslide preset
-Vault Meat

With these mods you will have the best experience and also you might want to get an FOV slider mod but that's optional.

I was running around making so much noise thinking the monster won't do anything but he was waiting for me in one of his little holes and grabbed my ankles and ripped me apart when I walked next to the hole. Only thing bad about this game is the ending but other than that the gameplay mechanics, atmosphere, and story are all perfect. 9.5/10

I don't think any game put me through a worse roller coaster of emotions than this game have plus I bought this game on a big sale and I still want my money back. (Very minor spoilers ahead)

First, before the game released they put out many trailers and the game changed extremely throughout 2017 - 2023 to the point where it didn't even look like the same game, so many people including me thought the game was fake, then it seemed like the game was real but it was going to be a cash grab (The studio had one game before this one and it was a VR game that looks very similar to atomic heart design which was a cash grab), and many of the developers were complaining about the work environment in the studio which later resulted in many layovers (according to a Russian journalist interview). Because of this it explains why the game changed several times throughout the development cycle.

Second, the gameplay is fine at time but during combat it is painful. The bosses are the worst case of bullet sponges I've ever seen and I played Destiny 2, but thankfully there is a weapon later on in the game that does a lot of damage and it is insanely strong to the point where it's the only good weapon against bosses. In addition, the stealth system is extremely bad due to the enemy density and the amount of cameras in the area if a camera spots you the amount of enemies unleashed is insane. Stealth could work if there is multiple changes to the combat like reducing the health of enemies and not having drones that revive the enemies you already killed.

Third, I had faith in the story in the beginning and it seemed like there was going to be more layers to it, but no it's unfathomable bad and predictable. If they started development back in 2017 there is no way they couldn't have come up with a better story because of how dragged on it is. I think anyone with a half creative mind could've come up with a better story in six years.

Fourth, the characters are either filler with no personality or they are obnoxious with one exception. Some characters you feel are very important to the story but they provide absolutely nothing and they're killed later on in the most plain way possible. Then you have the obnoxious characters like the protagonist. His voice actor is literally Generic Soldier 02 voice, to the point where every time he talked I was laughing at how generic he sounds, but his voice actor didn't do anything bad he did a great job if that is what they're going for. The problem with the protagonist is that he is very generic angry soldier who lost some of his memory and every single time he uses his stupid annoying line I want to punch my screen because of how forced it is.

Fifth, one of the only positive points I have about this game, but the game is very beautiful and I like the visual design. It is obvious throughout the game that it is inspired by Prey and Bioshock which they are two absolutely great games. Although sometimes things don't feel right in terms of level design that somewhat ruins the visual aspect of the game I don't think it's that bad.

In conclusion, the game seems rushed even though it's been in development for six years, the combat and gameplay is annoying to the point where I ran through the last 2 hours of the game through the enemies because of how bad and annoying they were, the writing in this game is abhorrent at best, characters feel bland and/or obnoxious, and the visuals are the only nice things about this game other than that the music is amazing since it's made by Mick Gordon and Geoffrey Day. I feel like the game could have been way better if they didn't focus so much on the visuals and maybe reduce the budget on the OST.

This game feels very similar to Yakuza 3 to the point where I feel like they took Yakuza 3 and changed few things then decided to call it another game, but it's bad in my opinion just feels a bit overdone although maybe it's me playing both games in few months in between that makes me feel like they are similar. I didn't like the combat in this game especially coming off Yakuza 4 and 5 it felt somewhat bland in my opinion. I overall recommend this game but if you're expecting something like Yakuza 0, 4, 5 you will be disappointed. It is an overall good game around B tier level

This game is UNNECESSARILY LONG, although I enjoyed it there are some parts where I thought should've skipped over or not make it as long plus having to play as Haruka was annoying to an extent, but luckily it doesn't last very long. The story in this game is good and unpredictable (expect for one thing) it does have some issues though. The combat in this game is great especially playing as Saejima you will feel unstoppable. Each character has a side story in this game but some can be somewhat boring. Regardless, this game has so much content and the story feels too dragged out for it own good otherwise it would be up there with Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 4 but it's one tier down for me. 8.9/10

There is no monsters but the atmosphere makes you uncomfortable especially you play this game at night with all the lights off. It didn't scare me, but it is a weird feeling going through this game. I really hope they'll make a VR version of this game it will be an even bigger success than it is right now.

Amazing story and combat, I love how each character has their own unique style that fits their character. I am so happy that this game was after Yakuza 3 since I was so pissed off about that abomination and this game delivered. I do think the sub stories weren't the best but I did enjoy some of them. The only complaint I have about this game is that the plot twist is somewhat over done it was brought time and time again which was kinda lame at the end but still this is an absolutely must play Yakuza game.
