Very wonderful sequel to the original subnautica game. I wish it had more interesting or frightening leviathans though. Gameplay is smooth and the survival aspect is fun, the story is pretty linear though I enjoyed it nonetheless. However, the story only really got interesting for me during the ending when they leave the planet. The rest of the gameplay, with the exception of finding Al-An in the first place, was actually a bit boring. I wish they kept some of the original plot, especially with her sister being alive during early access. I feel like that may have made things more interesting with getting to explore those relationships.
Very excited for an addition to the series if they decide to make one (though it wouldn't be subnautica without the watery world, would it?)

So cute and a fresh new take on the first game! I greatly enjoy the change in resource gathering to be more interactive around the map, and the newer slime types are so adorable. I plan to play this game more in full, but I do think the inclusion of more content in the future (presumably, as I'm writing this during early access) will help greatly.

Very interesting! I really enjoy playing this with other people, since it's something you don't need to take too seriously and even when you don't it can still scare the hell out of you.
If you have any friends that are easy to spook, definitely play this with them!

While the overall community around this game was at some point, really weird .. I actually love this game.
It has really cool pixel graphics and the humour in it is unexpected and delightful. It has a really unique story line and the incorporation of exiting out of the game for you during some parts is a thrilling experience.
The battles are fun, and the different roads through the story are wonderful too, and for once in a game bloodshed has consequences.

This game gives me so much nostalgia it's ridiculous.
Really, really love it.
Playing with friends is a really good experience especially when you all want to mess around or talk to one another while you mine while always being tense because of traps and giant worms.
If I could, I'd forget about this game entirely so I could experience it for the first time again.

Nightmare fuel and has me constantly on edge, and is currently the reason why I'm not going into marine biology.
But that being said, it does have a really cool story and takes a unique spin on a survival game, as well as generally giving a very neat sci-fi experience.

I haven't played singleplayer all that much but I have played online with friends.
The missions can get pretty repetitive, and the controls aren't really that great. But other than that, had a blast.

It's great to play with friends online and honestly has one of the best singleplayer stories I've ever seen. Very immersive gameplay, though there are issues in online with hackers in frequent supply, as well as a lack of attention from developers, comparatively to GTA. Sometimes it can get pretty grind-y in online as well.
Also, really weird clothing options in online?

I've spent so many hours on this game and honestly I think it's a really good game to get to know people over. Overall, neat pixel-art graphics, unique dialogue, fun characters and the different farming classes and quests make it a neat experience.
