Pros:
Mechanics are pretty easy to understand but still challenging
Super cute art
Really easy to just pick up and play

Cons: (devs are still updating the game regularly so these could be addressed/changed)
Unlocking everything doesn't take too long
Some hero abilities feel like it's impossible to clear with (I could just be bad though).

Overall a really fun game if you're looking for a rouglite deckbuilder. It's super easy to just pick up and play and it's challenging and fun. I highly recommend the game.

This is a video game port of an actual board game. It's a deck building game with waifus that came from Japan. The actual game can be a little puzzling but it's pretty fun when you get the hang of it.

If you like playing deck building games like Tanto Cuore or Dominion but you don't have any IRL friends that like to play with you, then this might be worth checking out.

It's a good game. Music was amazing, but maybe that's just because i like big band music. Gameplay is challenging but rewarding once you learn the ins and outs of the boss itself. Graphics are great and really feels like you're playing through an old school cartoon.

Definitely worth the $20 price point. Game itself is a bit short if you're just going to grab the bare minimum to complete the game, but there's so much replayability in this game for people who want to just get better at the game that you could play this game for quite awhile.

tl;dr: I won't tell you if it's going to be worth 60 bucks to you, but it was worth 60 bucks to me and I do recommend it to South Park fans. I can list what I thought was good about it and what I thought was bad about it and will trust that y'all make the informed decision on whether or not you want to buy it.

So looking through the comments it looks like this game is pretty divided, so why not throw my hat into the ring. Keep in mind this is just a review and is how I feel about this game. It's mostly subjective so you're welcome to disagree with me if you want. I won't be talking about bugs in this game because I personally have not encountered any of the bugs that several other people seem to be having so I can't say for or against it really.

So let's dive into the game itself and then I'll talk my piece on the whole Uplay/DLC/DRM stuff afterwards.

PROS:
-More in-depth combat system: Compared to the previous game the combat is just more in-depth. It's a lot more strategic and imo a bit more fun.
-It's a South Park story: If you're a fan, then you'll probably like it. It kinda feels like an episode of South Park.
-Music: I think they did a great job with the music. Different enemies had differently themed music that I felt fit well with who you were fighting.
-Role Swapping: Unlike the first game, you can pretty much change your playstyle whenever you want. This can be good or bad depending on how you feel about class changes. I personally like it because it allows me to test fun builds without having to start a new save file and re-unlocking all the classes.

CONS:
-It's a South Park story: If you don't like South Park or are in the middle ground about it, there's a high chance you won't like it.
-You're choices only kind of matter: I was a little disappointed that my choices didn't make as big of an impact on the game itself, but hey in all fairness I was expecting less. I'll still mark it as a con but it's more of a neutral point. I was just hoping for at least a different ending cutscene where everyone else finds out I was a girl this entire time.
-It's a bit of a short game: For something priced at $60 USD, it's a bit short. I think I beat it in about 26-28 hours? And that was with me going through and doing most of the sidequests. It was an entertaining 26 hours, but still kind of short for a $60 game.
-No real replayability: Just like the first game, there really isn't any replayability. I started going through it a 2nd time as different classes so I could fight some bosses again but differently and it's kinda fun, but most people will probably just play a different game.

All in all, I'd personally say I achieved $60 dollars worth of enjoyment out of this game. I would still recommend this game to anyone else who's a fan of South Park, but keep in mind that a game's enjoyment to money value ratio isn't something someone else can gauge for you. How much you enjoy a game is subjective. It's literally whether the good parts of the game subjectively outway objectively bad parts and vice versa. Even if it's the world's objectively best designed game both mechanics wise and story wise, you probably still won't like it if you hate that genre and the same goes for the reverse (assuming the flaws don't make the game unplayable).

Now there's a lot of complaints about Ubisoft and Uplay, day one DLC and Denuvo. So how do I feel about this? (If y'all even care, if not feel free to just stop here and thanks for at least reading this far):

First and foremost I think that these are valid points to bring up since these are all things that could degrade the experience of playing the actual game (Not including the DLC argument). Kinda like if a company decided to use super glue to seal every bag of chips and made you tear open the bag from the middle in order to eat it. It's going to annoy you and make you like the product less.

Now going over these individually.

Uplay: I think it's pretty poorly done platform, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I haven't had any issues with steam and uplay fighting each other when I try to start up the game so I'm not entirely sure what that's about. I mean I guess I use Uplay for R6: Siege kinda often so maybe that's why? But I can understand people's frustrating with this and how it degrades their experience with the game. I'll just point back to my bag of chips scenario from the paragraph above this.

Day1 DLC: I mean at this point it's weird for a AAA title to not have this, which in itself is telling to what this industry has become. I'm not personally in this industry so I can't say why they do it. I'm sure there's a cost to budget ratio that we're not seeing and something we probably won't be able to fully undestand until we see numbers, so I try not to be too judgy on the company until it can be proven that "they greedy af". In the end we vote with our wallets, but the fact that they keep doing this means that someone out there sees it as worth it. Imo Day one DLC is only a negative impact if they literally give you half of a game and expect you to pay for the rest later (like an episodic game that charges you 60 bucks for one episode and 20 for the rest as they come out).

Denuvo: I mean DRM will always be a thing as long as big corporations are spooked by piracy. It won't ever go away and it's pretty much a futile point but can you blame them for implementing anti piracy stuff? I personally haven't had any issues with it, so I can't speak to the gravity of the situation but to me right now it feels like a situation where people are getting mad at someone for trying to protect their own stuff.

Again this is just how I see these topics. Feel free to disagree with me, flame me, w/e you want. Just throwing my piece out there and hopefully it can be used as an useful piece of info for if you should buy the game or not. If you've made it reading this far, thank you for spending the time to read my thoughts on the game. I hope I was informative.

A fun throwback to the old hub world style platformers like Mario 64, DK 64, Banjo Kazooie, etc. Game feels a little short since there's not as many levels like in older games of the same genre, but at least the camera in this game doesn't make me want to throw my controller out my window (I'm looking at you DK 64).

I'd say it's definitely worth the price point on it, even despite how short it can be (15 hours in and I can already do the finale and I'm not particulary good at speedrunning), but there's just a lot to explore in the other worlds and it's fun backtracking and collecting stuff. And just look at Hat Kid, how can you say no to an adorable face like that.

This is a really solid 6 button fighter. There's an interesting cast of characters, clean controls, and beautifully voiced.
It's not even as pricey as some of the other fighters that play as well as this.

You can play it with just one solo character or Marvel vs Capcom it up with a team of 3 characters, or if you just want a single assist character you can rock it with a team of just 2 players.

The only downside to this game is that there aren't as many people playing this game and most of them are really into it and at a much higher level than most beginners, but hey. That's how you learn!

Seriously a great game, I recommend it for people who want to really get into a fighter and even to people who just want a casual fighting game experience.

Early Access Review
This is probably going to be the most intense party game you will ever play in your entire life. Ruin your friendships in a free for all race to the finish as you test your reflexes and button pressing precision skills. Make your friends cry Mariokart style as you sabotage them with items and traps to make them lose faster. But don't stop there, play ranked and try to climb the leaderboards for fame but unfortunately not fortune. Definitely recommended to be played with friends however. Keep in mind this is only a beta so levels are pretty much going to be recycled quickly, and yet it's still probably the most intense game you'll ever play.

I honestly walked into this game expecting it to be exactly like the first game, and I was pleasantly surprised at how similar if not identical it was. If you're looking for something more than the first game, then you'll be fairly disappointed. Costume Quest 2 is basically Costume Quest 1 but with a couple of tweaks to the battle system and brand new costumes. Buy with that thought in mind.
Honestly it's still a super fun game though.

One of my all time favorite games for the PS3 now ported over so I can play it on my PC. If you've already beaten the game on the PS3, then I suppose you wouldn't need to buy this game again; however, for those who have yet to play this game I highly recommend it.

I recommend you play this game with a controller by the way.

Now onto the actual game review. The game is a semi-turn based strategy RPG. I say semi-turn based because enemy units can shoot at you while you move during your turn and vice versa. It's a fairly simple to learn game and infuriating at the same time due to the random trajectory of your bullets, but overall the game is incredibly fun. Highly recommended for those who enjoy strategy game with elements of action/shooting.

P.S. It has dual audio if that's important in your decision making. Just a side thought.

If anything you can buy it for the art (if you like it). It's a short but fun little point and click with a sort of underlying story.
Probably best to get on sale though, not sure if it's worth $10 seeing how it's only about 2 hours long if you get stuck somewhere (I beat it in 1.8 hours and I was stuck on one of the chapters for a good 30 minutes cuz I'm a dummy lol)
