Game good. CEO kinda lame. get it for free by skimping off of friends who have it already and enjoy the buggy co-op or "acquire" it through other means

Very good game marred by awful bugs and stability issues (i mean seriously how do you not patch the game having memory leaks?)

if you're a veteran to jank games you'll probably enjoy this. and if you loved remnant 1 you'll probably love this game too. its just more of the same but better, the worlds however are certainly less interesting

But wait i thought everyone wanted old tekken back?

jk jk. jokes aside. harada please stop playing tekken 5 and start playing tekken 8 so you don't get bodied by casual streamers and can stop balancing the game in a nonsensical way
the monkeys paw keeps curling

Edit: leaving in my old review just for future viewers sake. so you can see in real time me reacting to the changes. and then getting to play the changes myself and my instant demorilization

what the ♥♥♥♥ is season 2? why does king get more damage from his 50/50 options than 90% of his grapple's? why is the GRAPPLERS GRAPPLE'S weaker than most of his brawling kit? why are the GRAPPLERS BRAWLING options better than his grab options? i can do half a healthbar on two interactions that are a 50/50 with season 2 king than i can with most of my grabs. in fact i *lose* more going for grabs now since most people know how to grab break on reaction at high end play so my options are to just play a brawling character who masquerades as a grappler? like that's whack. that's ass lmao

fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass game harada ffs. what was it he said on twitter? "At least play the new update before making judgements" or something like that?

I went into this really excited. cause the game LOOKS really fun to play and as a huge fan of the first game i was itching to get into it. having recently got a rig that should be *more* than enough to run it

and then it wasn't enough to run it in typical capcom fashion. which i was fine with i grew up with a terrible PC that could barely lift more than 20 fps out of most games. i've been primarily a console player for most of my life. 30-40 is more than playable to me

except it wasn't just 30-40 it was also blurry as hell. and turning the graphics down aggravated this problem even more... expect occasionally it would stop being blurry? and then go back to it its... really confusing i don't know how to describe it and i also just have to chalk it up to capcom not knowing how to do a PC port. because i don't see this issue anywhere except PC discussions

which leads me to my next point. this game controls really... awkwardly
not badly. not poorly. awkwardly. it feels like you're underwater the entire time, everything feels sluggish and unresponsive and that it either doesn't have enough weight or it has TOO much weight "Oh well its realistic" cool don't care i don't play games to simulate realism i play games to have fun. and having a saurian chest bump me and then watching the arisen fall off a small ledge and then take a few seconds to stand up is *awful* and also you should probably see a doctor if you feel like that because i'm by no means athletic or quick and i've stood up faster than my arizen has after falling a short distance

combat also feels way worse than the first game. from the aforementioned saurian chest bump to things like small bottles having way more impact than a giant sword, or huge stab does. it feels off and weird and creates this awful game balance where i don't want to engage with the combat because the enemy can do a small attack that sends me off balance, meanwhile i can't really do much besides spam slash attacks and hope the pawns actually engage the enemy

which leads me to the next big complaint. WHY ARE THE PAWNS SO STUPID? i won't sit here and pretend the first dragon's dogma had good pawn AI. they were kinda stupid, a little incompetent, but did their jobs. the ranged ones focused on flyers unless someone had tailor made their AI to deal with huge enemies. casters would focus on buffing the team if they had the representative counters, and the melee classes would rush in and take aggro. during my playthough i watched
-A mage buff our weapons with elements that were resisted by enemies
-The archer not shooting at the only enemies in the fight which were harpies
-Melee classes (fighter/warrior) not pulling aggro despite having the aggro pulling abilities. Not rushing into combat to engage with the enemies they can only engage in melee with. and

unironically. my lowly goblin pawn was better at pulling aggro and fighting than every other class that i just went out with him. and he did a better job than every other class combined (except fighting the harpies)
also also. why are they so stupid? why are they incapable of navigating around the terrain and constantly getting stuck OR brined! i never had this issue in DD1 and the fact its in issue in DD2 is astounding

i won't list every single thing wrong i found with the game because its just little problems that by themselves are annoying, but combined together create a bigger problem. and that problem is hindering gameplay and fun. the game is really fun when its not fighting against the player. the combat when its not suffering from "Muh realism" is genuinely super fun and satisfying. especially the unique animations that can play when you do your classes heavy attack, they're super satisfying and feel great

all in all i really can't recommend this to any dragon's dogma fan. which sucks

the story is kinda whatever. but when you look at it from a meta narrative its actually kinda cool and really sick

Game is way too easy. i gave it the benefit of the doubt cause of low rank but even a tempered gore magala is still easier than pretty much everything else in world (and ofc older games but i don't have a platform to play them on)

the end game is also extremely shallow because of how easy the game is. if you get lucky with your artian weapon you can literally be done with an endgame build straight after beating high rank (like i did)

combined with the performance (although i didn't have any issues that made it unplayable) the game shouldn't run as badly as it does. especially if you meet or beat the recommended specs for ultra settings. the fact that even frame gen (i didn't use it so i can't fully comment) doesn't help as much either is embarrassing

i can't say i didn't expect this. its a capcom PC port, they've been doing this for like. decades now. but i didn't think it'd be THIS bad

EDIT TU1: the fact that they released separate DLC that isn't covered by the most expensive version of the game packs is wild and nothing short of what i expected from crapcom. and performance has NOT increased either (VRAM usage is down but stuttering is still super high and high end rigs are still blurry as hell) please do not support this game. and more importantly. STILL no way to swap between high rank and low rank. you still have to go to alma to get a LOW RANK assignment to get back in to low rank. and then start a high rank hunt and leave it to get back into high rank

Games really fun if a little in need of balance. the bot matches in casual kill it for me however. any momentum i have is just taken out the second i get a bot match and i just don't want to play anymore lol

The games decent if can get past the weirdly long launch time the occasional crash when changing the graphics settings (including resolution which sometimes resets to a default lower than your monitor size. This also occasionally happens with the other settings too) the microtransaction hell the cringy character dialogue the for some reason very large file size the kinda mid map design the pallet swap free weapon drops (and the earlu 80's animation for the payed weapons) and the fact the game is kinda easy

if you can get past all that you'll probably like the game. i think i'll stick to well made games personally

EDIT: I'm sorry KF2 i was too harsh on you. Please forgive me
