As a huge monster hunter fan I feel a pang of regret about buying Wilds every time I remember that it exists. Wilds is hands down the worst pre-expansion MH I've personally played, and overall such a disappointment that I don't even have the energy to waste much breath on it. What makes it so disappointing is that Wilds has incredible potential to be one of the best MH offerings yet, but the over-streamlining of almost every mechanic, mixed with the removal of many if not most sources of risk/punishment present in previous games leads to what I can only describe as the FisherPrice-ification of the series, and an overall dull and un-engaging experience after the novelty quickly wears off. Really hoping the Capcom can turn this one around and realize its unrealized potential, but it's going to take a lot of work because Wild's horrible performance is the least of its problems.

I truly think that this is the best horror game ever made (it's also an immersive sim). If Frictional continue in this direction we're truly in for a horror renaissance

This is so much more than just a boomer shooter. Calling Selaco a boomer shooter is like calling a Sprite, a Coke, just because they're both carbonated and come in a can.

There's also these brilliant little immersive sim-like moments sprinkled throughout the levels that really make Selaco shine more than it already does. The MRI "puzzle" on the first floor made me feel alive in a way that a game hasn't done since the original Deus Ex or Prey 2017.

Absolutely every inch of this game feels like thought went into it. Every time a new feature is introduced it just feels so right and genuinely exciting, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this game

I don't like survival games; I think this is one of the best games I've ever played

Calling this a survival game doesn't even do it justice- it does so much more than that, and mixes so many ideas. It feels more correct to call Abiotic Factor a co-op immersive-sim with survival elements than it does to simply call it a survival game. Not to mention that so far it seems to have interconnected level design on par with Dark Souls 1

Either way, my first night with this game felt like being a teenager, staying up all night playing Minecraft or Terraria, or even Prey 2016 for the first time again - something I didn't necessarily expect to ever relive - so if you're deliberating whether you should buy Abiotic Factor or not, you should probably just do yourself a favor and pick it up
