This is a really cool and simple pirate game. It gives me massive Skullduggery island vibes from ye olde Poptropica.

This is PvPvE done really well, but there are only 50 PvE levels available. Leveling from the 24/7 PvP events seems to be uncapped.

Levels past 50 are exclusively gained from PvP (and can be gained while getting your PvE levels, and speeds them up a lot). This is through two methods.

PvP Leveling Method 1:
PvP Arena. There is always a queue ongoing for PvP Arena, and it activates every 10 minutes (if 2+ people are in it), pulling participants into an arena for a quick fight to the death. The winner gets a free level up, and everyone gets some of the currency for a PvE level up.

Side note: Dying in this game halves your PvE level-up currency, but dying in the PvP Arena gives no penalty.

PvP Leveling Method 2:
A bounty area spawns on the map, and everyone can see where it is. After 3 minutes or so, if there are people within the bounty area, one will randomly receive the bounty. If in a fleet, all members of the fleet within the area will receive a bounty. Bounty holders are visible on the map at all times.

Objective: survive. After 5 minutes, if you hold the bounty, you receive a free level up and a lot of PvE levelling currency. If someone kills you and takes it, the timer won't reset - it will continue counting down from where it was. Once the bounties time out, or those with the bounties die to a PvE death and it disappears, a new bounty area will immediately spawn on the map.

The game feels a little bit arcadey, and it's grindy, but the swift (and endless) progression is really enjoyable. Remember to fleet up for those bounties.
