This game has been thru a lot. Had a terrible and rocky start, but the devs buckled down and did some serious work on the game, adding nearly everything, if not all, of the stuff that was originally announced.

Its not a very deep game, in fact its fairly shallow. Mile wide, inch deep. But the game is fun for exploring space, planets, building bases, collecting and upgrading ships you like, and invading and pestering your friends.

At this point my only wishes for the game would be:
1: Make combat more interesting and rewarding. In it's current state its fine, but its probably the most shallow part of the game, which is kinda sad, because there is a lot of combat related things in the game to acquire and upgrade.
2: The ability to actually have any any animal on your base. It would be neat to be able to capture creatures from other worlds and be able to bring them to your main base, maybe provided that you give them a habitat that matches their home world.

Its a super chill game that you can easily zone out to and accidentally waste an entire day.

This game captures the look and feel of the first game so well! All while moving from 2D to 3D

Even tho the game is still fairly early in Early Access it is one of the few games that I would say is well worth it. I bought it on launch and during that launch weekend it was buy one get one free, this caused everyone in my core friend group to get it, this is relevant because this game's online multiplayer is amazing. I played with friends all across the United States and other parts of the world. It preformed wonderfully, even tho we were separated by hundreds or thousands of miles.

This is an insanely fun multiplayer game, with sooo much more content to come leading up to 1.0

This is one of those games where I wish there was a Neutral rating.

I enjoyed the game well enough but it had issues for me compared to the first game.

For a Sonic Adventure-like game it controls better then you'd first expect, it is very competent at the playstyle it sets out to imitate: Sonic / Shadow style gameplay from the Adventure games, but slightly better feeling.

Late game I started to run into problems controlling Fark, however. The game really starts to rely on loops and vertical climbs, starting at Titanic Tower and onwards. When you can pull it off it looks really cool and these levels can be a spectacle. Problem is when you get going really fast you start to turn on a dime and it is VERY easy to get flung off the path and fall to your doom. Its avoidable at times by using your 2nd jump and air dash, but it doesnt work all the time because you're just too far away from the platforms. On the Apocalypse Thruster stage I literally had to slow to a crawl to navigate the thin platforms due to the risk of being burnt alive if you stray off the path for even a second.

Fark is missing some skills from the first game which is a huge shame because mastering his moveset in the original wes very rewarding and insanely fun. The most notable one is his ability to cling to walls. Having this skill would have made navigating levels like Titanic Tower much less of an annoyance.

The camera also likes to fight you from time to time. When you're running on walls or going thru loops the camera will sometimes jerk around making it hard to orient yourself.

During boss fights some boss skills will cause slowdown and it really does feel like this can cause the game to eat inputs. This is most prevalent in the last fights.

The levels are pretty generic as well and are kinda samey. The first level is probably the most unique because it actually feels more open.

Again, I really do wish I could be neutral on this one because I don't quite recommend it in its current form, but at the same time I don't not recommend it either. Early game is fun, controlling Fark is responsive and enjoyable, but late game all the levels feel like they could be the same, just different color palettes. Ultimately in it's current state, I would have to lean more towards not recommend. It pains me, because the first game is seriously one of my favorite games of all time.

The game's controls are horrendous. Shoulder buttons to jump and shoot? Thats what the face buttons are for...
And you can kill your friends with grenades, i get that other games have this kind of friendly fire too, but 2 things: The fuse time for the grenades in this game is really short, and the indication for a grenade being thrown or one on the ground is not good enough. Even if I called out "Grenade!" my friend still would get killed by it cuz its so counter intuitive.

We didnt play much of it, to be honest. after about 25 minutes I asked him "Wanna just go play Borderlands instead?" "Yep"

Spark The Electric Jester is an amazing Sonic inspired game. It feels like a mix between Sonic The Hedgehog (speed), Freedom Planet (combat), and Kirby (powers). If these games interested you I highly recommend Spark.

The first playthrough is farily easy after you get the hang of controlling Spark and all of his weapons / abilities. The game controls great and is very fun to master. Spark has access to various powers while playing as him like Wind, Fire, Archer, Hammer... to name a few. Each has their own moveset.

After the first time you beat the game you gain access to Fark's Story. Fark plays a lot differently then Spark, and this is where the game's difficulty starts to ramp up. Fark has less HP then Spark, but his normal form has a larger moveset. He can double jump, dash in air (many times), walk on walls, stick to the ceiling, block enemy attacks, heal himself, and go Super. All of which takes a bit of time to get use to, but once you do Fark can be so much more satisfying to play as.

There are more challenge modes after Fark's Story as well, and they are not easy. Which is good, IMO.

The only ♥♥♥ that I ran into with this game is that at some points the game gets some minor frame issues. These issues didnt effect me enough to really notice or bother me, but from reading the other reviews and experiences from friends that palyed the game, these issues can very from none at all to extreme.

Thats it, really! I adore this game, and cant wait for the sequel!

Rabbit Story was a fun and relaxing 1.5 hours. Very easy to 100%, if thats your thing. Cute characters and a nice setting, simple textures but the game pulls it off very well, the locations are pretty.

Gameplay is simple, point and click.

The story was nice, too. You play as Rabbit, as he makes some poor choices.

I'd say the game's only flaw is how short it is vs. how much it costs. Definitely recommend it on a sale, or if cute little games tickle your fancy.

Snowflake's chance is a very nice game to look at, it has hand drawn visuals and is set in a very strange and creepy enviroment. Its the controls and gameplay that ruined it for me, however.

When this game first came out there was a controller issue that caused the left stick to be extremely sensitive, it was fixed the next day wich is great! but, at least to me, moving and jumping around still seem clunky. Sometimes I felt like Snowflake really should have jumped when I pressed the A button, but instead, Snowflake decided to fall back down.

Another issue I had was with the way checkpoints work in the game. When you hit a checkpoint your (rough) location is saved. Thats it. Any progress you made item wise, or doors open was reset, even though you are higher up in the pit. When you die a crow will drop you back off at the checkpoint but not exactly on top of it. The crow will drop you down the pit at the point where the checkpoint is, so you need to hold left or right to get to land if you dont want to end up back down at level 1. At the end of the day it just feels pointless.

This game's idea is amazing, and what I did play was really fun. Untill me and my friend realized that if you disconnect from a game you loose all of your stuff, effectivly making you useless later on.

Death didnt feel as meaningfull as it does in other rouge-like / rougle-lite games. Here you die, respawn, and see that you have no items. This sucks if you're pretty deep. In other games of this genre when you die you make some meta progress to effect your next run, but this game has no progression that we could find.

It was fun to play a Dark Souls style combat game with a friend, but in the end we both decided there is no point to actually play it, we felt like there was no progression.

Quite a fun little game for its cheap cost, and an amazing soundtrack.
