at high rank all the players will just surrender and proceed to do some sort of exploit that makes it so you don't even gain rank points or experience.

Speaking of experience its a really bad system for a PvP mode. Locking all the good anti-stress trinkets in the later levels just means all the low level players get steamrolled by stress builds, meanwhile the low level items are all stress items which simply encourages you to build that specific way. It sucks all the variety and fun out of the game if you don't even get some of the nicer trinkets until well into the mid 30s.

Breaks several ending types due to the ghost mechanic. An ending will state "Kill all other players to win" but because this DLC turns them into ghosts instead of killing them, the game will simply lag on forever.

In certain endings like Spreading Fire it can even softlock if players go to out-of-bound zones and thus cannot do anything as a ghost besides end their turn.

This DLC does not account for the other endings or DLCs, and it honestly doesn't even add much to the game in terms of fun content.

It's a really hard game to get into at first, however once you get the hang of it ♥♥♥ is actually quite fun.

If I could I'd give this game a neutral review. Spleunky 2 is a very different game from the first one in very subtle ways, certain controls will feel different, certain approaches to enemies will be different, but it is fundamentally quite similar to the first game.

From the perspective of someone who played the first a lot, the 2nd feels oddly foreign and even a bit rough to work with, my chief complaint is the first zone is overwhelming with how many things it has going on, there's an ungodly amount of mobs, traps, etc, however the game improves a lot once you leave the first zone.

Overall though the game still has a lot of flaws that needs to be hammered out, I think the mob spam in the first zone isn't a good choice, it makes moving through that zone a pain, and i found myself doing nothing but throwing rocks at enemies when there. Map generation in the first area also leaves much to be desired, with there often being areas that will make you stuck unless you use rope to backtrack. Many QOL changes could be made as well, the chest containing the eye treasure cannot be moved, unlike the previous game, which makes doing the mini-quest for it annoying.

The soundtrack doesn't sound as interesting as Spelunky's either, about 2 hours into playtime i had turned the music off in favor of just whatever background noise I can play.

There's a few (possible) bugs as well, if you get an NPC companion there's a chance they may try to steal from the shopkeeper, instantly making them all hostile to you.

This is a really good game but it has a lot of flaws that makes it a questionable buy right now, the lack of online multiplayer also makes it a difficult game to recommend, but I trust the game developers will improve it over time.

Disabling quick save for ranger hardcore is almost as dumb as making this game an exclusive.

This hearthstone expansion is really weird looking but it's fun.

Decent game, but a lot of features are missing that makes the game feel like a waste of time.

-Cannot modify landscape
-Modifying homes is VERY limited (cannot add/remove spots for bathrooms, exterior doors, windows, or radiators)
-Customization options are also lacking (Few color options for paints, floors, furniture and tiles)
-Buyers AI is horrible, a family of five bought a home with literally only one bedroom for seemingly no reason
-General textures and meshes are buggy, sometimes dirt will not properly display and as a result cleaning it is a pain. Some meshes have duplicates in them resulting in the dreaded flashing texture bug.

Not a bad game and is actually quite enjoyable but it feels like a half baked experince.

+A step up from the previous game, Stories. Plays out similiar but in a different setting and some new mechanics added
+Story itself is kind of slow but still intresting enough
+Fixed the glaring issue Stories had in which you couldn't skip past most days you already played and instead lets you jump where you need to be.
+Gameplay was a bit more challenging than stories

-The investigation aspect of this game is non-existent and didn't even feel like a gimmick, it seemed almost non-existent entirely.
-bosses are present but they don't feel challenging at all, little strategy involved, just beat on them until their healthbar disappears
-below average play time

10/10, its okay.
