I'm definitely more on the fence than I'd like to be about T8.

The new netcode, sick.

New characters, ton of fun.

New designs for characters, I'm there for most of em.

New ranked points, no SF6 level of improvement but better is good.

Sound design, can feel like I'm getting punched in the ears, in a fun way.

The soundtrack has some bangers, but T7 stays my top pick. (SING IT TASTY STEVE!)

Heat system, fun new idea, keen to see how they adjust it over time, feels more lopsided than Rage Drive across the cast but especially without an arcade release we will be passing through kusoge territory for a while.

UNFORTUNTELY this has been the worst monetised Tekken and possibly fighting game to date. Disregarding the upfront cost it still manages to have a disgusting gap between first buying the deluxe season pass included edition and upgrading to the season pass later from a standard edition.
From there it only gets worse as if you do not purchase the deluxe edition in some capacity you are behind on new characters by multiple days as buying them piece by piece does not become available at the same time season pass owners gain access.

Also the stage now, real?

I'm going to give this a not recommended. This is not a bad game, but it is being handled poorly and I cannot suggest people pick it up at this time.
