Planet Coaster 2 is an evolution upon the solid foundation of Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo. Sure, there are some items that need urgently addressing to sand off the rough edges, as it were. But the core experience is there and the soundtrack is as addictive as the first game.

Prepare to lose yourself in a beautifully voiced campaign and spend countless hours working to get a single ride's queue line *just* right.

Thank you, Frontier, for capturing the magic of what a theme park builder should be at it's core.

Absolutely incredible game, Frontier have knocked it out of the park and have created the ultimate Zoo simulation/management game.

The campaign is extremely fun to play, it makes me wish that Planet Coaster on PC had a campaign too.

Buy this game as soon as you can. It's fantastic.

To preface, I run the game on an advanced PC (i9 13900KS, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 RAM) so I am aware I fall into the 1%. The game performs well for me, when it's not crashing my computer, however.

In the half hour I've played so far I've had two complete crashes of Windows (Blue Screen of Death, or BSOD for short) - this exclusively happens when playing CS:2, at seemingly random moments, too.

As much as I want to love this game I currently cannot play it, and as such I'll keep my review as negative until the situation changes.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is a classic, there is no mistaking it. With this re-release, there was an opportunity to do something really special.

When Frontier announced that the game would be enhanced for modern PCs, I think we all expected a little bit more in terms of bringing it up to speed. Let's be honest, 1080p, although very popular, is not really where the industry is heading anymore. Many of us have 1440p or 4K panels, and in order to achieve this resolution you need to amend a configuration file manually as there is no option in the game to go above 1080p natively.

However, the game itself is totally playable from the brief time I've had in it (I have also tried the Switch version, which feels like a great port, it is really well done). For this reason, I would still wholeheartedly recommend this game to all those considering getting it. Was there a bit of a missed opportunity here as far as enhancements are concerned? Yes, of course. But does the lack of these enhancements mean that the game isn't worth buying? No, not at all.

It's RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, for goodness sakes. Enjoy it, soak up the nostalgia.

I have just started playing Fallout 76 for the very first time, I always said when and if it ever came to Steam then that would be the day I picked it up and gave it a go. I'm glad that this event coincided with the release of the new expansion 'Wastelanders' which brings back NPCs to the world of Appalachia.

First impressions are, well, great. The graphics are identical to that of Fallout 4, and I loved that game's aesthetic so I naturally enjoyed this as well. As soon as you step outside of the vault (and actually inside the vault too) you get a taste of the new branching dialogue system that they've introduced which I am told is very similar to that of Fallout 3.

The NPCs are very welcome additions, there are a few right outside the vault and really bring a lot of atmosphere to the game. Frankly, if they weren't there, the world would feel a lot more sparse. The voice acting is good, and from what I can tell from my brief time with the main quest, it looks to be a good'un.

As far as stability goes, I haven't been kicked off a server or ran into any 'unsavoury folk' yet, so my experience has been great.

This is really just a first impressions review, I'll be sure to update it when I get further along if I feel like it is necessary. In the meantime, if you're on the fence I'd actually wholeheartedly recommend Fallout 76. I'm planning on playing solo, and yes it has had it's ups and downs over its lifetime. But Wastelanders is a fantastic expansion, one that breathes new life into the game with very little to no bugs that I have experienced (thus far).

£35 for an older game is a bit too expensive - I'd really recommend it whilst it is on sale. But would I be unhappy if I paid full price today, in the condition the game is in? No, I don't think I would be. I think it's actually a Fallout game now, and that is no bad thing.

A JRPG Masterpiece

*NO SPOILERS*

The title of this review pretty much summarises Dragon Quest XI: Echos of an Elusive Age. A game that has taken the core of the Dragon Quest series from the last three decades and has refined it into a beautiful and immensely fun experience that will truly stand the test of time.

The game starts much like you'd expect, not knowing much about your character or your role in this expansive world. As you explore and follow your set goals, you'll slowly start understanding more about who you are and start discovering more of the huge Erdrea.

The music is as you'd expect from a Dragon Quest title, and with over 30 hours in 3 days of the game being released, I can tell you know that I still hum along to each tune and it doesn't get old, trust me.

The combat system is back and it's better than ever, too. You have two options to choose from, a free-cam experience and a fixed-cam experience. The two are fairly self explanatory. The prior allows your active character to roam around the battlefield and look from any angle as you choose your turn, the latter keeps you in a fixed position and gives you a more cinematic approach to watching the battle unfold. Neither grants you any specific tactical advantage as moving in the battlefield does not allow you to hit more enemies or dodge enemy attacks.

The characters are amazing and, quite frankly, awesome. I'm loving getting to know them and I can't wait to see more of their personalities unfold the closer I get to finishing the game. If I had to have a favourite so far though? It'd have to be Sylvando!

Overall, this game is spectacular. It's one that I've poured many, many hours into exploring the vibrant world and I can see myself doing so for many, many more hours to come.

If you have any hesitation, don't. This game is worth every penny.

There's not much to say when reviewing Two Point Hospital other than that it's a fantastic game, and everything you've ever wanted from a Theme Hospital successor.

I'm only a couple of levels into the game, yet I find myself going back to old hospitals I've made to improve them and get those 3 star ratings. Not only that but Two Point Studios have included so many amazing features that I didn't even know I wanted! Things such as a Newsagent that you can put in your hopsital to make sure your patients don't get bored when waiting for their next appointment, the attention to detail here is amazing. And best of all, I haven't encountered any bugs yet.

If you're on the fence, definitely go for it. It's great fun and well worth the asking price.

Prison Architect is one of those games that for newer players can be quite daunting considering it's depth but for experienced players a fantastic prison sandbox and an overall great simulator. I always find myself going back every now and then and having a go at building this massive prison complex.

It's really good - if you're a big fan of these games I'd recommend buying. Or just wait for a good sale!

As far as free to play games go, this one's pretty good. There are no time-walls that make you wait for things to finish. Admittedly there are micro-transactions, but you can go about your way not using them entirely and not notice a single difference to your experience, as far as I can see.

It's a good way to sink some hours when you can think of literally nothing else to do.

If you love Theme Parks, or building things, or per a matter of chance building theme parks, this game is truly the only choice for you.

Planet Coaster does perfectly what other games in the same genre have been perfecting for well over the last decade. WIth beautiful graphics and a soundtrack so incredible once you start playing you just won't stop - I promise.
