Utter shame of a game;

I do not give a single ♥♥♥♥ when a studio is funded by a 100$ billion to be published and then have no proper testing for a game that has been marketed so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much that I could even see it in my Microwave.

Game has no functioning servers at the moment and the devs released not 1, not 2, but 9 patches claiming to fix it.

It is broken. The game is simply broken:

- No servers (No matchmaking)
- Crashes constantly
- Rewards not awarded most of the time
- Extremely buggy (Armor not working, air-support not going where you throw it, weapon damage modifiers doesn't work)
- Unholy balancing with starting weapons being the most OP in the game and end-game (well, most grinding weapons) being ball-sack straight downgrade
- 9 Difficulties with all of them most of the time not reflecting properly in-game
- No customization

And the list goes on.

Even for free, I do not recommend this game at the moment until most of those issues are fixed.

Clunky game-play, 50 buttons to press while playing and you have to learn like 100s of operators for a game that ends in less than 2 minutes.

Full of cheaters - literally first match in the "Beginner-friendly" mode, we got alerts in the chat that 3 players are now banned by "BattleEye" and they left the game.

Joke of a game full of MTX with skins, battlepass, shop, boosters, operators that you can buy. Basically an FPS that is infested with all these modern mechanics of the gaming industry: $hit-show.

It installs several extra programs on top of the game itself:

- Ubisoft Connect
- uPlay
- BattleEye

I do not recommend this game although I barely played for 30 minutes and refunded. I don't know how Ubisoft just announced that this game will be supported for, wait for it... 10 MORE YEARS.

CONS

- Bugs:
-- Characters clipping in the environment
-- Enemies are braindead
-- Your character will get stuck in objects sometimes, or falls down on a mountain in a very unreal way, like just straight ahead
-- FPS drops in the Menus
-- FPS drops in Cut-Scenes

- Controls:
-- Clunky player movements (The body-model has to rotate in order to go different directions)
-- Every time you drop from somewhere or drop an object, you have to press Shift again to run
-- Walking is almost always better than Sprinting

- Instinct Sense (Q, Highlights objects)
-- You need to stand still to use this or keep spamming it if you're walking, becomes extremely annoying after a while
-- No labels on the highlighted objects, which means, if you stand on top of a very high position and press Q, almost the entire map will be highlighted with objects and you can't really know what is what

- Hunting & Animations
-- You can hunt birds, rabbits, squirrels, Apex Predators like Bears and wolfs etc... but it feels very bland; all of them have the same animations for looting
-- Same for the trees/sticks etc...
-- Repetitive actions like: Press E to break wall, Repeatedly press E to break box, Hold E to do X etc... you will see this through the entire game

PROS

- The game-play, as usual, has the fantastic Tomb Raider vibes.
- "Tomb-Raiding" challenges/puzzles are very well done and feel really rewarding.
- All "Notes" or "Collected scrolls" are voice acted - I love this!
- Ammunition can be looted almost constantly which means you won't have a lack of ammo or items
- You can upgrade weapons
- You can upgrade your skills (3 trees x ~17 upgrades)
- The story is well written, it starts with a cliff-hanger and your entire game play will be the point of reaching there again
- Fast travel
- Maps are kind of connected to each other, you can see your entire map and how the sections (areas) link
- Lara Croft bobs and vagen
- Magnificently detailed environments! Tombs, Caves, Mountains, villages, factories etc...
- Clothes (Mostly DLCs tho) have some kind of applied bonuses
- No crashes

I recommend the game (on sale) regardless of your interest in Tomb Raider series.

Expect some bugs here and there, but overall you can get some tens of hours of fun with it.

DLCs exist in Cosmetics, Maps, New Challenges - Pick whatever you think you need to have.

CONS

- Extremely repetitve gameplay (Go here, kill this, go there, clear X nests, go here, rescue this)
- Every NPC feels like an actual.... NPC. I don't know how to describe this more but they are literally copy-pasted models with different colors. Same dialouge, same movement, same rescue scenarios
- ABOMINATION of a voice-acted script. This has to be the cringiest dialouges or way of narrating some context that I've ever seen. (e.g. The characters sometimes speak like this: Hmm, oh-oh yeah-AHA a map ok ok hmm yes yes I can u-use this)
- Melee can break
- Supressors for ranged weapons can break
- The Equipment Wheel feels clunky to use
- Honestly, the map is fairly big but it all looks the same. Same houses, same things to loot (literally about 3 or 4 things that you will find in every single place), same terrain...
- Looting becomes extremely tedious after a while. Delayed "HOLD E TO OPEN" on corpeses, cars, boxes etc...
- AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. Sometimes I walk so close by a zombie and they don't even flinch
- Not much variety in weapons
- Super slow at the start

PROS

- Game looks really good.
- The Z-Apocalypse enviroment is well done.
- Zombie hordes are scary af
- Zombies or infected animals jumping on you while driving the Motorcycle is actually scary
- Walking into dark areas (Houses) and especially tunnels is riviting. (IMHO The game should have been MORE of that, than an open-world game)
- Runs perfectly fine, no performance issues at all.
- The characters have good stories but like I mentioned, whenever they speak you will start to see how cringy they are.
- Motorcycle + upgrades = vroom vroom

Honestly, a very simple way to put this is that the game WOULD have been fantastic if it wasn't an open-world game, rather a campaign that ends and that's it.

Buy it on sale only. Don't expect anything like a real open-world game with a lot of things to do. The only thing you will be doing here is stealthing in bushes to avoid zombies and riding your bike.

[Post-class overhaul patch | Changed from Negative Review to Positive Review]

The game now offers at least the worth of what you have paid for. I can gladly recommend it again given that it has replaced VT2 for me. Kudos to whoever thought of this drastic change in the course of the game development.

[Closed-Beta Review + Release Day Review | Negative Review]

I will be stating the cons before pros as usual.

Cons:

- Very hard to land shots on enemies amid all the chaos of hordes (Specially ranged enemies that can shoot you inside the horde)
- Screen shakes and stuns on ranged shots, good luck making your way out
- Sprint is useless because enemies can simply do the moon-walk that VT2 has and catch up to you. Slide Slide Baby.
- Dodging is bugged, and it can make enemies dodge with you
- UTTERLY trash-tier performance. (3080ti, 32GB, i7-12700K and the game barely handles 40 FPS)
- In some cases, you NEED a VPN to play the game (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is the funniest)
- Map rotation is lame af. Always same maps but just a slightly different tilesets
- Classes? Hello? 4 classes only. (VT2 has ~4x the number)
- Crash-fest
- Microtransactions (even if they are cosmetics. Get that ♥♥♥♥ out of the games already, its 2022!!)
- No crafting on launch, HA. HA. HA.
- Tons of weapons, but they are almost the same :) You'll end up juggling just 3 of them instead of the 60+
- No mod support

Pros:

- Looks nice
- Nice game-play but nothing compared to VT2 melee
- Dedicated servers

Further Info
[Release Day Review]

I will be stating the cons before pros as usual.

Cons:

- Very hard to see your character on the screen amid all the chaos
- Jumping or landing on platforms is a bit tedious
- Dodging traps is near impossible, very hard to see the trap button
- Shared loot (Most obnoxious thing you can ever encounter in a game, also promotes toxicity in case you need an item and somebody else grabs it before you)
- Cannot damage staggered enemies (on the ground)
- Some of the boons are pretty darn useless
- Attacks and move-sets can get a bit more enhancements (How the characters move, specially the Wizards ghost!!)

Pros:

- Extremely polished game!
- Such a fun co-op experience! (Super smooth, no lag, no delay, absolutely recommended!)
- Can instantly host your own game without the need of external servers
- Endless mode
- Pretty straight forward gameplay
- Comfortable (and perfect) controller mapping (I use Official Steam Controller)
- It is NOT an easy game. Once you are close to the end the game gets is challenging if you don't have a powerful build! I have yet to reach the final vault because we died on the 4th biom (Lava island)
- The game looks and feels like an old 90s game, I love this!
- Text-chat! (And is super cool how they made it roll like a dialogue)
- Probably runs on a toaster
- Minimal game size
- Maps/Biomes are pretty, a lot of climbing/jumping or downwards
- Portals to navigate the map faster (YES. YES. YES)
- It feels really satisfying to defeat enemies in a room
- FAST. PACED.
- 4 Classes are all different, and more coming soon AFAIK

The game is amazing, but the price is a bit steep, although acceptable! (~14.99 would have been perfect).

A very enjoyable game with a lot of clutch moments and new features (Loot your teammates when they are downed, revive them, nice visual effects for attacks etc..)

[RELEASE DAY REVIEW]

As you can see, the game was released today and I already have ~4 hours non stop! The game is amazing.

But I usually start with cons before pros, so here it goes:

[CONS]

- Movement can be a bit clunky sometimes.
- Extremely slow start (But gets very rewarding once you get upgrades and new weapons)
- You can be damaged on enemy contact. I hate this mechanic so much.
- No balance between weapons and you'll find yourself using just a couple of them.
- Some animations are rather slow. (e.g. Accessing inventory system to change a weapon or upgrade, you have to shut-down your suit, change whatever you want to change, then turn on your suit, this gets a bit tedious half way through the game)
- Not much enemy variety. (But they are weirdly interesting)
- The game fails to tell you what to exactly do, which results in you endlessly roaming some rooms to find some characters or objectives.
- Lack of hints.
- The game has some poor design choices where you can SKIP some missions/secrets and cannot redo them at all unless you replay the game. (In the process, you cannot get some achievements)
- The game has some rather bad achievement designs. (Finish the game in under XXX hours)
- You can dash & sprint but they cost Stamina, but sprinting feels useless compared to dashing.

[PROS]

- Fairly big map.
- A good accessible inventory system. (same for the map/items/consumables etc...)
- Auto-loot; Loot will fly to you automatically, and you can get items that make it even faster to reach you.
- Interesting story line.
- Game isn't stale: Find hidden places, get more weapons, get suit upgrades etc...
- Well done voice-lines. You and the people you meet have voice-lines and not some gibberish like other games usually have.
- Attacks, dash, wall-leaping & jumps feel very fluid! Extremely satisfying to navigate through the game.
- Game has a very captivating art-style (Effects, colors, sounds, music, enemies, biomes)
- Challenging (Game is really not easy at the beginning but you start catching up with upgrades!)

So far I haven't had any crash, bug etc... and it has been a great smooth experience! I'm already LVL 20 in-game and will keep playing till I finish it! What a fantastic Day-1 release.

I recommend this game as it has a very enjoyable experience! (Also controller support is perfect)

Great Game!

I don't think I've played anything like Little Nightmares before. The game is beautiful! The enviroment is really well done, darkness and lightening is so immersive!

I will don't have to put the Pros. as its a very straight forward game: Run away and escape before something grabs you.

However the cons can be listed as the following:

- Clunky controls (I used a Steam Controller) because of how the camera pans and moves along with the playable character.
- Super easy puzzles, nothing really that requires you to think twice.
- I barely felt "scared" when playing the game, not sure if its because I don't really get scared that easily or if the game was lacking in that department.
- Super, SUPER short game. There is even an achievement to complete it within an hour and no deaths, so go figure.
- I had just 1 crash.

Overall? I really recommend the game because it is something very unique in this genre! I will proceed to play the DLCs now (3x) and then jump to Little Nightmares II!

Hmm, OK; this will be a rather tough review.

Everybody knows how CyberPunk's release was. Atrocious. But, slowly, the game is "kind of" redeeming itself.

I say kind of because of the following:

- The game is gorgeous. One of the few games that you will keep taking screenshots of, wandering in the NightCity mesmerized by the colors, buildings, people, sounds, cars etc...
- The game is an RPG core, where you can level up, unlock skills with points, have perks, get weapon rewards, cosmetics etc...
- The Main story is good, it keeps you wondering what will happen, and it is fun to switch the path because choices matter.
- Side-jobs/gigs are what will keep you going after the main story.
- You can buy cars, motor-bikes, apartments, you can have sex, you can do drugs, you can shop for clothes

And the list really goes on for good things. However, here is the main problem:

The game lacks depth. After the main story and finish the side quests, you will feel... lost. Empty. Nothing to do.. OK you can do a replay for the game but, why? Why would you replay a game that you already played?

Personally I felt the Main story was great, but the ending was GOD AWFUL. I was like wtf? That's it? After all of this? Nothing else to do?!

And then I thought, what will I be doing after it? Just finish the side quests and do what? Ride my car/bike killing people and collecting weapons? There was nothing that pulled me to stay playing.

Here, is where modding comes in! I recommend the game ONLY because modding exists. If modding didn't exist, I would have never bought it.

The game is still not fully polished, it has serious problems and really awkward gameplay sometimes. (Example: Automated drive-scenes that feel horribly guided, like a lego car driving and steering, or the delay in dialogue responses). But modding fixes every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing wrong with this game that really makes it shine!

Overall, buy the game ONLY if it is on sale and you are planning to mod it. The game is definitely not worth the full price and I never recommend getting it for the full price.

Modding
Below section can be ignored if you do not planning to mod the game (Which I advise against).

Modding is fairly easy:

- Mods can be downloaded from here - https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077
- Installation is really braindead, just use the Vortex MOD Manager
- Make sure you have REDmod DLC from Steam
- Always read the description and latest posts on a mod before installing to avoid unintended bugs/crashes.
