Honestly, not worth the money, unless maybe you just want to have some fun in couch coop every once in a while when your friends are over.

Game has 4 classes: Rogue, Mage, Warrior and Amazon or whatever it's called.
The Rogue has a VERY short range attack and a bow that is often just useless. His attack combo locks him in place and often leaves him in vulnerable positions, so using it is very risky. Got to level 4 with him on the 1st try.
The Mage has a slightly longer range attack, can summon an elemental, and a big water bowl thing... haven't played him yet, he sounds like the most boring and weak one, but I'll try him out later.
The Warrior is a powerhouse, and the only character who can actively block damage, and ridiculously enough get thorns damage (I got it up to 150% or so) when blocking, meaning you pretty much can just block kill bosses for the most part. His attack combo also throws enemies to the ground, which is extremely useful. You'd think such a passive character with a massive health pool would have a weak attack, but ooooh no. All his attacks deal major damage and can stop the enemy from acting. I think he's probably the strongest character by a lot. Beat the Dwarf King without much issue on the 1st attempt.
The Amazon is basically the Warrior minus blocking. Her move set is similar, yet with slight differences. And instead of blocking she throws a sort of... glaive boomerang (?) that can stay in place. I'm going to try her next and see where this is going.

A run takes about an hour to fully complete. The basic gameplay is to go through the same 4 bioms every time, kill the same 4 bosses every time and then choose between two different final bosses (one got added later I think). The enemies are the same, the levels are the same, everything is the same. The only difference is the gear you can find along the way and the sort of upgrades you're getting, I guess. But this doesn't bode well for a rogue-lite, especially since there is no outside character progression. On the other hand, why would there be, when you can easily beat the game the first time around. The only thing you unlock are mutators for your runs. And even in different bioms the enemies, while looking differently, often act similarly. Whether it's a goat man or a bull man, they both do the same thing, same for a green slime or a blue slime, or a white mage, a brown mage, or a dwarfen mage... the game itself often comes down to a lot of button mashing.

And the most annoying thing about the combat are the ranged enemies who are constantly running away from you, in different directions, shooting at you, while melee enemies swarm you. And they can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stunlock you to death, at least the mages can, the single most annoying enemy in the game, whenever there's more than one.

All in all, it's not a "bad" game, per se. The soundtrack is fine, the combat is entertaining enough for a short while, the graphics are quite alright for what they are. However, there's probably no reason to play this for more than 4, maybe 5 hours, as there's just not enough meat on its bones. In coop the game is probably very different as well, even more chaotic, but even then... there are better, more fun coop games out there that do the same thing this game does, just better. So, paying full price for this one is a really hard sell in today's market.

The off clicking and not locking the mouse to the screen makes it awful to play.
