There's so much to do in this game, I could play it forever!

The single player of GTA V is certainly compelling, full of entertaining interactions between the 3 main characters, some amusing outfits you can force on said main characters, memorable missions and plenty of money to be spent on fast cars and guns.

However the online mode has many issues and I would warn everyone who is thinking about buying GTA just for online to think again. I've encountered many problems that have not been fixed over the years ranging from connectivity issues to hackers in lobbies to month long/permanent bans for just playing the game to even the dreaded blue screen of death. Throw in the fact that making money is a huge grind and 99% of the time you're just going to be blown up by someone hundreds of ranks higher than you who owns a tank, meaning I can't recommend this game at full price. I would possibly recommend it at a sale price however that would only be for the single player, if you only wish to play online then you'd still be taking a risk with that money.
