It's like a mix of OSRS/Diablo/WoW

Graphics 10/10 , would burn out another Gtx 750 to get those screens of Boreal Valley just right.

Difficulty 5/10 , I don't know if this is because i'm finally figuring out this game, but it just didn't have that same controller breaking form factor you expect.

...are these games based on anything else?

Bought this the day it came out.
Beat the story line in 20 hours.
Jumped off a ski jump for 90 hours.
I think thats all you do in this game.

I don't know enough about fighting games to be able to tell you if this game is; Balanced, fair, or well made.

But this game is really a good time. Even if you have friends that are experts in fighting games they can still be beat by the casual button masher.
That is an upside for me because I just wanted a fighting game to play on my pc with some friends, passing around the arcade stick.

Currently I have the razer atrox, and I love it for street fighter, but honestly it is nearly useless for MKX.
My friends and I all have different levels of experience with gaming and the controller usually beats the stick, no matter who's hand it is in.

Which is funny because its the complete opposite of a game like street fighter. [you rarely ever see a pro use a controller in Street fighter]

Back to Mortal Kombat X- this game is violent, like over the top violent. This being said, DO NOT buy this game for kids.
If your child is begging you for this game, just get them the old one.
This game could teach a college class in anatomy, no joke.

Great game, get it if you like pulling out your friends insides and stabbing them in the eye.

Addictive for all the right reasons.
But it really does make you feel dumb at points.
