Huge open world, unique alternative approach to traditional classes, tons of activities to keep you busy and entertained. The gear system is also very unique, and provides significant customization options for each equipment slot; you can feel effective in both PvE and PvP, whether you follow meta or not. Boss fights have very interesting and creative mechanics, matchmaking is cross-server and there persists an incentive to grind/farm dungeons even after you've received any desirable drops for your build. The progression system and world events heavily encourage team-oriented play, and push you to join guilds/alliances which are ultimately the core of overall game-play. It's a very community-driven MMORPG, a critical aspect in which most games in the genre seem to fall short.

Yes, gear plays a very significant role in overall combat performance... but what game is there for which this isn't also true? Player skill and competence is of nearly equal importance: knowing your abilities and synergies, timing, etc.

As someone who has logged THOUSANDS of hours on other MMO's and RPG's, this shows some real potential to be another one of the Greats.

The game is poorly optimized, and making it a live service game just lends it to connection issues and lag. As a huge fan of Diablo I & II, this is honestly a let down - it just doesn't scratch that itch.

I've re-played this game at least half a dozen times, start-to-finish. I am absolutely dying for a sequel.

Pitifully outdated graphics: animations, textures, models - all of it. I actually found myself laughing at how bad this game is; it would have been considered 'good', 20 years ago. The graphics actually seem maybe a step above classic World of Warcraft which, funnily enough, released in 2004.

The UI is clunky, the characters and game world feel like a beta version and I honestly just found myself rolling my eyes and shaking my head every few minutes. If you're a major DC weeb, this might actually have some modicum of fun for you. Without some heavy nostalgia, this is a heap of trash.

Possibly the worst, laziest writing and voice acting I've ever seen; even satire would be more professional and immersive. When mentioning this in the game's world chat, the consensus was that the dev's "gave up on the story entirely, about half-way through".

The game is plagued with poor scripting, AI, dialogue and graphical errors. Not to mention frequent connection issues, resulting in disconnects from the game server.

Don't waste your time, and certainly not your money on their bloated premium store.

Competitive, cooperative, fast-paced and outright fun. The difficulty scaling goes from casual to hardcore, and the collectibles/marketplace are a nice touch.

In all honesty, I purchased this game simply because I was bored. It was cheap, and the preview videos gave me a chuckle. This turned out to be one of my favorite purchases. I dont generally like mystery games, I'm more of an action guy. Firewatch was certainly an exception to that, albeit a little short being completed in less than four hours of straight gameplay. At times I was frustrated, at others I was laughing. There are even one or two points which might tug at your heart strings a little, I know one scene reminded me of something from my past and even managed to get a tear out of me. The graphics may not be top of the line, but the voice acting is spot-on and probably some of the best I've experienced in any game that wasn't from a mainstream media group.

My final conclusion? If you have the money to spare, and enjoy a good story.. You'd do well to make this purchase. This is one of those games you'd end up convincing a friend to play, just so you can enjoy watching their reactions and relive your own experience. Very good writing, with an interesting and un-expected twist at the end.

Campo Santo will be a name I keep an eye out for in my future game purchases, that's for sure!

THE least noob-friendly game of the decade, I cannot recommend this game to anyone who does not have prior MOBA experience.
The community is dominated by elitist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and, unfortunately, it gives you a bad taste from game one.

This and Doom were the first games I ever played, and I've been a diehard gamer ever since.
