The game very often has moments where the developers severely limit the sandbox that 7 days to Die and tries to be. And it feels very much that way. The progression system is absolutely terrible and merciless. It is the most soulless grind EVER. The quest variety is zero. There is no ultimate goal. And the gameplay with balance needs a major overhaul.

Since writing the review, the game has probably gone to 1.0. And with that has raised the price tag.
