Loved the Campaign. It kinda pulled a Halo 2 and ended abruptly and set up a cliffhanger. I also enjoy the multiplayer quite a lot. Nothing will take you back to the OG days but this is as close as you can get. Aside from the launch week server issues things run pretty smoothly as well.

So if you had asked me 8 months ago to write a review it would have been completely negative across the board. I'm a long time Battlefield Veteran. I started it 1942 then Vietnam then 2142. By the Time Battlefield 2 came out I no longer had a capable PC and moved to mostly console. I did play the Battlefield 2 Modern Combat for Xbox. Then the next few I played strictly on console. BF3 was and is still by far my favorite with Thousands of hours sunk in it. BF V became somewhat OK and that's when I migrated back to PC.

Nobody was more hype than me for BF2042. First PC launch I can play on day 1. More than capable rig: (i9-9900k, 3080ti, 32gbs ram). Day 1 and I launch the game and am Immediately met with disappointment. Sever's are terrible, Maps are few and feel utterly devoid of life, excitement and mostly cover lol. The swath of weapons and attachments we have become accustomed too are stripped down, basic and very few. All in all this went from my most hyped game to absolute the utterly biggest disappointment I have ever experienced in modern gaming. I would have told everybody to stay away and the franchise known as Battlefield is in its final stages of life.

Fast forward to now. I will preface my disclaimer by saying this game is nowhere near where it should be still. I think specialists are a bad Idea to this day. Launching with 7 core maps and only adding 2 in a year is just bad. I have not even thought about touching hazard zone as Escape from Tarkov does the extraction shooter better. Corporate completely screwed this game by pushing it out un-ready. I cant blame the Developers because I don't fully know what they had to endure or even if this is the same Dice that made Battlefield what it was.

With all that said and I hate that its been the case for Battlefield and gaming in general but this game has become actually fun. Aside from a still case of lack of content the two maps that have been added are fun, balanced and bring the overall Battlefield feel. The reworks of the few launch maps have been a welcomed addition and made the experience more enjoyable. Rotating portal maps (portal which was the only redeeming quality at launch) into the pool is fantastic and helped break of the monotony of the lack of launch maps. They have added 2 weapons each season as part of the battle-pass which are free to everybody to earn. They also have started to roll out classic battlefield weapons from portal to the main game. I was never a campaign guy for this series (enjoyed them, beat them) but always thought it would be better served to not devote resources to it and focus on the core aspect of multiplayer. I will not hold this against them.

With the start of season 2 I have found myself logging in almost every week just to get the Battlefield fix. It's not there yet but if they continue to Invest in the game I can see it having legs and learning to walk and maybe even run one day. Its a long road to recovery. I hope they continue to make this game better because it has the bones of Battlefield. If you see it on sale I would say pick it up and give it a go. You might be able to scratch that itch.

From Start to finish this game was pretty much a masterpiece. It calls back to a time when it was fun just to shoot stuff and cause mayhem but also has some of that modern day flavor to bring it into the new age just like DOOM (2016). All aspects of this game came fully fleshed out. The movement to the feeling of the weapons are absolute perfection. You are in a sense the Ultimate Predator. It is a FPS with just as many platforming aspects that it will make your head spin (quite literally). You spend as much time flying through the air dealing death from above than you do on the ground gory killing all sorts of vile creatures. Speaking of creatures and this is about the only thing that keeps this game from true perfection and that the Marauder. He is a Pain in the a##. He breaks the flow of combat aside from his first encounter which is treated as a Boss fight and in that sense it was awesome but as the game progresses and you become death incarnate that enemy finds a way (worse when they throw 2 at you back to back) to break the "fun" of the game. In the end this game is completely polished from back to front and for me is a top 10 must play of all time.

P.s. As of writing this even at 46 hours the majority of that was spent in campaign on Ultra-Violence and doing everything and scouring all corners. I played maybe 4 matches of the new battlemode and its a fun A-symetrical deathmatch of sorts but with my limited time with it i can not go into many details.

Just like the game was back in 1998 it still brings the tense fear and paranoia. Item management and the fight or flight response kicks into overdrive that few games since then have been able to capitalize on so well since. With updated visuals and sound stage this is a true remaster in every sense of the word. For a 20+ year old game the story still holds up well even in our current political landscape where big business does something shady and goes to extremes to cover it up. Whether your picking it up on sale or full price as well as a newcomber or vet of the series you wont leave dissapointed.

One of the best looking games to date. It has its fair share of bugs. Its no fallout game in terms of bugs but has some that can be quite annoying. If you followed Metro 2033 and Last Light than the story picks up from there. Its really good in terms of exploration with each zone having its own sandbox. For a first person shooter the stealth gameplay is quite good. You have plenty of tools at your disposal to dispatch your foes or completely bypass them. I cant speak to time it will take you to complete the game as me it clocked in around 40 hrs. It depends on your pace and level of exploration. Overall its a really good game only slightly mauled by bugs and glitches that is as good if not better than the first 2.

Well Rainbow Six Siege is a game i bought day 1 on xbox. I probably have around 3-400 hours on it. I recently bought a gaming rig and let me say PC is the way to go with this game. Ive always been a huge rainbow six fan (mainly a tom clancy fan) and while this game launched with little fanfare.. (Seriously who launches a game december 1). This game has grown in both community and scope. The Devs are top notch and constantly up date this game. This is how you do a games as service. Its a full play complete package. You dont have to buy the season pass but it does help if you dont want to grind out the extra operators. It will take you around 10-15 hrs to hit the required renown. When it first launched this game was fresh and new but had a host of problems including bad net code clunky feeling and just about game breaking server issues. I can tell you now that all that has been fixed and improved upon.

As for the gameplay well its the most intense 5v5 multiplayer you will ever experience in your life. One bullet to the head and your done. Its as tatcical as it gets and i can say the most fun multiplayer experience ive ever had albiet frustrating when your having an off day! All in all I must say this is a total buy and an absolute steal when its on sale!!

Im writing this as I download it again. Bought it on a steam sale for super cheap. Im writing this as i will go through the campaign again. Ive played this on both xbox 360 and ps3. It is fantastic. The story is forgettible but the locales are great and the stealth gameplay while not as good as previous games like chaos theroy and current like mgs5 are top notch. Its truly a great game that will have you playing through multiple times as i did on both consoles and now will on pc. I can not comment on the current state of the multiplayer but back in the first 2 years it was a sight to behold. Just as good as pandora tomorrow and chaos theroy.

9/10 must buy......
