It's surprising how satisfying a number-go-up game can be when paired with roguelike elements and cards.

Or in other words, I love both cards and roguelike's, so I like this game, even if it boils down to number go up.

You buy it to scratch that thousand-year itch.

But oh boy, this game is great. I loved every chapter, character and random Minigame. My biggest criticism is that the button mashing in hardmode was a bit too hard for me, and that I didn't really feel the appeal of the challenge codes you unlock; note that both of these things are optional. I could say that the begining is a bit slow and basic, but that might be a positive for people that need to be eased into this kind of RPG, and is quickly forgotten by the middle chapters.

It was my game of the year.

Melee Combat is unfun (especially with lag), ranged combat is bad (and also unfun).

I still like the surviving aspect. Also it has an interesting style. Also I like setting goals for myself and then try to achieve them, though this often means not surviving for too long as I'm still bad.

A solid Yugioh simulator.

You can get a competetive deck for free. You maybe can get 2. You can also just reach high ranks with just a casual deck, but only at the end of the month.

And thats pretty much it for ranked. If you enjoy highly competetive matches in best of 1 format, which is either 8 negates out of a 5 card hand meta or you cant play unless you have spell/trap removal from anti meta, it is a fine simulator. Don't hate the players or Konami, depending on the decks that can be fun.

The events are probably the most enjoyable part. Yes you spend gems on somthing that isnt viable any other time, but playing in the reduced ceiling of only fusion monsters was a blast.

Biggest criticism: The banlists suck. The banlist is similar to the ones for the physical card games, but those are intended for best of three matches, so some strong cards with exploitable, but uncommon downsides are stronger than they should be. I am also relatively sure Konami doesnt know how to put new cards on the banlist. No safety in the events either, although specifically crafted for the event Konami still misses 1-3 cards that ruin it, most often monarch skill drain.

I like this game.

Plattforming can be janky when it comes to moving plattforms, but I really liked the battle system, soundtrack and the story.

The biggest mistake of this game is being similar to Undertale in name, but not in how to pacify enemies. You are given the option to bribe enemies, the only way* to end an encounter without killing. But bribing is just an "instant win", unless you lack the funds or it is disabled for certain enemies. If you are playing this game bribing everyone, you won't have much fun, and if you don't, your brain subconsciously makes a connection to Undertale and you get sad. The fact that you are a former coworker of your enemies; the fact that you can talk to them before combat; and their cries for help ("Stop", " :( " ) really drive this home. So you are encouraged to avoid encounters entirely, but the plattforming is just ok, while the combat is great.

Spoiler: You don't even get anything for pacifism, apart from an achievement when you try to sneak by the enemies in a specific area. That area is even designed for this, so avoiding the fights is fun there.

So just murder everyone, the game is more fun that way. Get those sweet experience points! No matter how much they scream and beg for mercy, don't let it get to you!

I have decided to remove my nitpick about the price/game time ration. This game doesnt need any more content in it, and cutting the price down wouldn't be fair to the creators: Inflation is a thing after all. Sales are a thing as well. Just so you know: this game took me 6 hours to beat, 8 hours to put in my shelved category.

Apart from that, nice murder mystery, beatiful artstyle and intriguing story. Not really optimized to play with a mouse, the 2nd chapter is longer than all the others combined, and I found the German translation to be rather sloppy at times, but thats about the worst thing I encountered while playing, nothing major. It is rather light on puzzles, and the ones it does have are fairly easy, most of the playtime is figuring out who may tell you more about the evidence gathered.

Buy it if you like Point & Click adventures, but maybe play others first. It's not bad, not great - just good, but short.

Do you love memorizing your shopping list? 6 apples, 4 instant noodles, 1 boar, 4 strawberries, another boar, and noodles again? Do you enjoy enjoy not deviating from this list, until you see another customer buying pebbles, and you then are expected to buy as many pebbles although you didn't want anyone to buy pebbles this early? Do you enjoy babysitting 30+ kids who try to help you buy during this while ordering your 4 - 10 teenagers to kill the other shoppers kids? Do you enjoy re-establishing the great mongol empire or offering the beating-hearts of your enemies to the aztec gods?

If you don't, don't try multiplayer. If you do not learn a build-order by heart, you will lose. Luckily, the game teaches you popular shopping lists build orders. And if you like the tutorial more than actually playing online, there are 22 years worth of campaigns content as well. Yes, this game was first developed in a time when the main focus of any game was still on singleplayer modi, so despite there just being updates for multiplayer, the singleplayer campaigns are fleshed out.

I would say the thriving multiplayer would ensure custom scenarios from the community will be made, but the community really likes the multiplayer a bit too much to care, so I'll say: Multiplayer is amazing but unforgiving, singleplayer is training grounds, judging how fit for multiplayer you are. Campaigns are a completely different ~ 300 hour singleplayer modus, but with varying quality.

Valve stopped giving a ♥♥♥♥ it seems. The internet always says this is just a europe problem, but as a huy in europe, Bots are everywhere. They aren't hackers, because hackers still need to actually position manually. These bots just go to good sniper spots, instant headshot everyone on the other team, and spare other bots.

Really unplayable at this point. 1/3 of all games I go to have a bot on a team. And sometimes the enemy doesn't even kick them.

Why Valve?
