This is one of the best fighting games ever made. There is so much stuff to do and the teaching tools outclass anything else in the market. If you wanna get into fighting games, this is the way.

This game is not very good. It has a very good physics engine, but everything surrounding it is pretty bad. If you like 3D platformers with good movement, you may be able to overlook these numerous negatives, but it can be very hard to do so.

I'm not hating on 2D sprites in 3D at all (I love doom engine games so like, i'm used to it), but the graphics are very poor. The drawings are awful and convey nothing, the NPCs are so ugly that I legitimately mistook their backside for their front once. Beebz herself is not a great design IMO, but her sprites do her zero justice. Most of her sprites look like a fat baby learning to walk for the first time, she's incredibly stiff and as a result the platforming that should feel good can almost be hard to tell what you're even doing.

The shaders and other VFX are, actually a massive detriment. Important things are not given visual clarity at all (springs are grey discs that can be easily missed), and it's made much worse with the absurd amount of colored fog. I'm not much of a 3D guy, so I don't know these terms precisely, but I can tell you when somethin looks bad. Just look at the provided screenshots on the store page; they're overwhelmingly a single color, which blends everything together into a blinding mush. This feels like someone got ahold of Unity for the first time and just cranked everything up to 11, none of it is tasteful and none of it compliments the 2D art at all (no matter how bad that art is anyways). Even if you try to tone this stuff down in the graphics settings, it just deletes massive amounts of the game.

The checkpoint system, which I've seen some praise for some reason, is useless. Instead of normal checkpoints, you get to place 3 of your own and jump between them. This would be great in non-linear levels, but here it's useless unless you know the level already. I always find myself either using too many checkpoints early on because I have no idea how long the level is, or I never use them because again, I have no idea how long the level is. Even the first world will have levels of greatly varying lengths, it's a system that actively encourages you to avoid it. It's truly only good for returning to a level and letting you try a dumb shortcut over and over until you nail it.

Ontop of the checkpoints, the levels just kinda suck. They have their moments, but they don't feel like they were played more than once in the design process. They don't flow well, it's often very hard to tell where you need to go (the previously mentioned fog does not help this), and rarely does anything feel like it was actually designed for you to have fun with your moveset. Was hoping fanmade levels would help this, but I've barely seen anything in the workshop.

It's easy for me to ramble about this game's issues forever, there's so many problems. This is subjective, but it's very "cringy", like having a pretty weak meme from like 2016 such as "Is this a pidgeon?" referenced in the game and being very proud that they put it there. The writing makes me embarrassed to have on my screen, the character designs are awful, the collectibles are numerous to the point of just being annoying, the unlockable tools don't make the game more fun at all and moreso feel like you're being forced to use them, ugh this list just goes on and on.

The platforming itself though? VERY good. Flipping around, bouncing off stuff, wall jumping, the little weird spinny bat ball thing that lets you hover and long jump, it all feels great. The moments where the level design isn't horrendous and I can actually pull off some fun stuff, it's what's made me play the game as much as I have. It's really a gem just wrapped in garbage, truly a shame. If you're just here for platforming, honestly go buy the $5 Neon Splash thing. It's an entire game! I haven't played it myself but it seems much more focused on just having solid levels, and the color choice looks far more visible.

I hate to hate this game, but I almost exclusively see praise for a game that really shouldn't get as much as it gets, especially for that price tag. It bothers me that nobody talks about it's flaws, and I think people should really know what they're getting into when slapping down $25 instead of some youtuber calling this "as good if not better than mario 64"

It's like, puzzle sonic? or meat boy? less about beating levels in worlds and more about solving little platforming challenges, it's fun!

A gigantic leap forward for the franchise, Sonic hasn't been this good in ages. If you've ever loved the franchise in 3D, I highly recommend this game. It's not perfect, there are tons of people trying to dunk on this game just as there are tons of people hyping it up, but it's a solid game with a clear vision. This game gives me hope for the series again, and I haven't had that, honestly for most of my life.

Absolutely fantastic game. The movement is outstanding, the combat is top-notch, the level design is genius, everything flows together to create what you always wished the Sonic Adventure games actually were. Replaying the game to get high ranks to earn medals is addictive and super engaging, just like in Sonic Adventure 2.

The feeling of just seeing a spot in the distance and thinking "I can get there" is replicated time and time again, and actively encouraged. You'll find dozens of shortcuts in the levels, never ever held back by "what the developer intended". I'll be playing this game for years, it's practically perfect. Any flaw I can think of, I don't even feel the need to mention because it could easily be patched out by the time you read this. If you want to blast through levels, have the game encourage you to improve, and listen to a banger OST while doing it, this is your game. Go get it.

For anyone who played the second game, I played it too, and like quite a bit of it, but felt as if it was being held back from being the developer's first dip into 3D games. Every gripe I had with Spark 2 is fixed here, this game is an absolute dream.

Man, I'd love to play this on PC so I can use a controller, but this version doesn't let me use my mobile NA account, so I don't really want to bother playing on an entirely second account. If this game lets you use your mobile NA account, I'll definitely be more interested.

But hey, uh if you like Megaman characters a lot, this game is fun, but if you're more playing for Megaman gameplay, this ain't gonna do it. It's pretty easy, which makes playing on phones fun, but with a real controller it just feels silly.

This game feels like a very talented pixel artist learned a little bit of programming and tried to make a game beyond their scope right away. The sound effects feel like they were taken from random sources, and their volumes differ drastically. There's like, a parry(?) with a meow sound more realistic and louder than anything else in the game, it's not something you want to hear ever. The movement is alright but the game's goal is not clear, and the menus don't make much sense either. I couldn't tell if I was selecting a ruleset or getting a gameplay rundown when starting a multiplayer match. I don't understand what I'm doing in the game either; is my goal to eliminate the other cats, or bring fish back to a shrine? The gameplay doesn't work well if either are the goal. There's also a glitch with just selecting the cat you want to play; pressing left just doesn't work most of the time. I'm sure there's more bugs, considering the overall lack of polish, but I barely played this since it's really not worth my time. Art's very nice though.

As much as I adore WayForward and everything they make, this game really isn't very good. The game is a unique idea, 4 player Mighty Switch Force, but absolutely nothing was done to make that work well other than zooming out the screen, which has its own problems. I have absolutely no idea how anyone is able to play this game with four players, everyone playing must be in perfect sync with each other, or there's no way the level's getting done. The game feels cheap too, which feels very odd for a WayForward property. The game is a mixture of reused pixel art (which still looks great), and generic VR styled levels that don't match the pixel art at all. The zoomed out screen makes it hard to appreciate the good sprites too, since they're so small. The new sprites for this game don't even look that great either.

I'm really sad to say it, but this game isn't worth the price. Everything good about it can be found in the other Mighty Switch Force games. The main appeal of this game is the multiplayer, which does not work like the fun party game it advertises itself as. This whole game feels like a cheap product meant to monopolize on the series' reputation, and I'm sorry to say I fell for it myself.
